Hertz Car Hire

Great experience and good cars, I choose Hertz every time I fly through Belfast (International too by the way, that team's also great, but Hertz at City airport is even better). Love the personal tough Vaughn gives, and haven't had any trouble with other members of staff either - keep up the great work!

I could not have asked for a better experience! The guy at the desk was super helpful, efficient, friendly! We had a free upgrade as a Gold member. Everything was fine quick and we were on our way. I booked online and I couldn't be happier! I would highly recommend Hertz for your travels in Ireland! Would definitely come back too!

I have been travelling back to Belfast twice a year from California for the last 25 years. I always use Hertz. My experience with the team at the airport has always been very positive. They get you through the process very quickly and are very helpful and accommodating. Case in point, Vaughan the manager was there last night a good 30 minutes after closing time" when my flight landed late and was able to get me into a car in ten minutes and saved me an overnight hotel stay in Belfast as a result."

5 star customer service! After some trouble and glitches with collecting my hire car, VAUGHN, the business unit manager, went above and beyond to get my purchase over the line. Excellent persistence and determination in order to help me. I am a frequent flyer to Belfast through work and only ever go to Hertz for my hire cars now. Thank you Vaughn.

Another great experience with Hertz Belfast City Airport. Hertz team member Vaughn was very welcoming and extremely efficient, he greeted me by name and had everything ready on my arrival which I was grateful for after a long evening of travel. On dropping the car back to him at the end of my visit, he was just as friendly and helpful. People delivering great service, like Vaughn, are the reason customers remain loyal to business. Thank you Vaughn, thank you Hertz and see you on my next visit!

Hertz staff at Belfast city airport were excellent. My flight was delayed and due to land later than the closing time of the desk. I rang ahead and they said they would wait for me. The service was speedy, the car was exactly what I booked, and in excellent condition. Will be using hertz at BCA any time I’m back.

CHARGED US FOR EXTRA FUEL DESPITE RETURNING ABOVE THE 1/2 TANK THAT WE PICKED UP WITHTo our surprise, when picking up the car from this location, the fuel tank was half full (would expect it to be full). We made this clear to the gentleman in the lot who was inspecting the cars before leaving and also took a picture of the fuel gauge.We returned the car 3/4 full (1/4 of a tank more than what we picked it up with, just to be safe and avoid the extortionate costs they charge for not returning at or above the level you picked up at). We made this clear to the gentleman at the desk when returning the keys and he ensured us that we would not be charged for extra fuel. Two days later, our credit card was charged an extra £85 above our rate for the fuel.We followed up with the location via phone and were told ‘there’s nothing they can do’ and to ‘contact customer service’ to rectify the extra fuel charge that they put on, despite it being the location's mistake. When contacting the customer service line we are unable to connect through to an actual person to rectify this which is very frustrating.Despite being Hertz gold members and using Hertz for the majority of rentals when travelling, we will certainly at the least be avoiding the Belfast City location in the future. The people working were nice enough but the level of ineptitude to charge us an extra £85 despite us going out of our way on multiple occasions to avoid this very situation is truly shocking. Extremely inconvenient to 1. Pick up a vehicle with only 1/2 a tank and 2. To be charged for it despite returning the car with extra gas above the initial amount. A very annoying way to start and finish our holiday. There are several other car rental options there so will be using one of those on our next trip.

Despite renting a car in advance at the WRONG airport, Hertz was able to help me out. They got me an excellent replacement vehicle, with no delay to our trip whatsoever.Staff was very friendly. Returning the car was incredibly easy as well. 10/10

Cannot recommend Hertz Belfast more highly and will definitely be a returning customer. Vaughan was incredibly helpful and extremely patient despite me making a very big mistake with my booking. He sorted me out with a new reservation at the price I had paid for in my previous one, gave me the details to be able to get a refund and the car he gave me was beautiful! Super modern, clean, had all the bells and whistles. Couldn't have been an easier or calmer process, despite me being a tricky customer! I would always advise booking direct through the company rather than through comparison websites, although the base cost always looks cheaper you pay for it in insurance extras and barriers with booking changes etc! I had a great experience with Hertz, thank you to Vaughan and the team at customer services who were so happy to help me.

Personal service every time by really professional and friendly people. I always choose Hertz at Belfast City as they are so quick and courteous and the car range is excellent and affordable. Thanks Andrew S
