My Midwife Madelaine

Madelaine provided the most amazing care to my wife for our first baby. She was extremely supportive to both of us throughout the pregnancy, birth and post birth. She has such in depth knowledge of Midwifery and was able to answer any question that we had. Not only did she answer the questions, but she provided explanations and told us about a number of natural approaches to various aspects of the pregnancy, birth and once our baby had arrived. We loved having Madelaine share the journey with us and wouldn’t hesitate to whole heartedly recommend her to anyone. You will not find a better midwife than Madelaine.

Madelaine is an angel. She is so incredibly knowledgeable and her support was absolutely invaluable at every stage of my baby journey. We will never forget the help and guidance she gave us as she will always be a hugely influential person to us. I could not recommend Madelaine highly enough.

I cannot recommend Madelaine enough, she has been my rock and my angel as well as a dear sister during the last trimester of pregnancy, during labour and birth of our daughter Alma in July 2019 in the Maternity Hospital in Holles street Dublin and in the aftercare helping me with breastfeeding after a challenging start with pumping. Madelaine eased my mind, calmed my soul and gave me tremendous trust along side expert advice in a highly professional manner with the utmost integrity in a very challenging situation having just settled in Ireland after leaving my homecountry The Netherlands with 6 month pregnant. I felt completely lost in the Irish system, also because I was considered a high risk pregnant lady being 43 years old. I am proud to say that I gave birth in an all natural way just as I had imagined and hoped for and I have Madelaine to thank for that too as she supported me to believe in myself and also really tuning into what was best for me and baby taking no risks resulting in a hospital birth which turned out to be exactly what was best and needed. I also have Madelaine to thank for a succesful 20 month breastfeeding journey after having to have to use a breastpump the first month. Again the trust she instilled and the expert help she gave made this possible. Madelaine is very intuitive and tuned in, very honest, one of the most caring people I know who truly loves her job and is more than dedicated to the families and babies she helps deliver. Madelaine is simply amazing! She provided us with postnatal and breastfeeding support. I can honestly say that without Madelaine I would have given up on breastfeeding after 24 hours. She is so knowledgable and caring - available to answer questions 24/7 and as a first time mum I had a lot of questions. Madelaine delivered my first baby at home in Dublin in 2017 and was a wonderful support. I feel very lucky to have had such an excellent first baby, home birth experience in her care. She gave me super postnatal care for two weeks afterwards also and I had a great breastfeeding experience as a result.

Madelaine is an amazing midwife. She was there for me through my labour with my first baby and I really appreciated her calm, loving presence. She encouraged me to rest between contractions and was very respectful and knowledgeable about the process of birth which was reassuring to me as a first time mom. I highly recommend having her as your midwife.

I cannot recommend Madelaine more highly. She is extremely knowledgable, practical, supportive and kind. During my first pregnancy, she became part of our family and I loved her visits. She was always available to answer questions, and provide advice and support. I initially wanted a private midwife to provide consistency of care, but with Madelaine I got much much more. I didn’t expect the quality of care that I received from her during pregnancy, birth and post birth-I truly couldn’t have gone through it without her. If we’re lucky enough to have another child there is nobody else that I would want to provide us with care. She is an amazing midwife and is a credit to her profession-she truly cares about what she does and it shows in the way she conducts herself and the passion that she clearly displays for her role in bringing your baby into the world.
