Pretty round-towered church on the border of Norfolk and Suffolk and next to the site of the 12th Century manor house known as Weeting Castle. The road becomes muddy with large puddles and a few potholes a little before the church but there is room for two or three cars to park outside.

There are two outstanding mediaeval building to see here. The church, of St Mary with it's round tower and well kept graveyard, but also the fortified manor house, known as Weeting Castle, in ruins, but it just gives a feel of how it was to live in Norfolk in the 12th century. Alas the church was closed and the manor house covered in scaffolding when I visited.

Beautiful church with distinctive round tower & sloping roof. St. Mary the Virgin is surrounded by a fascinating churchyard with some very old gravestones that are well worth studying up close. Actually a site requiring more time to investigate than neighbouring Weeting Castle...

Beautiful church just next to the castle ruins. The tower impressed me the most. It's unique, round shaped. There's a well maintained historic cemetery on its territory as well. Very quiet and peaceful place, located on side road.

A round tower which was replaced in mid victorian times, the churches chapel is much older but unfortunately has been rendered all over at the same time.The effects leave behind a church nice to look at, but everything of interest will be inside, it being padlocked put an end to that venture.Luckily just across the way is weeting castle a fortified grand house worth a look around.
