Confident Canine - The Holistic Gundog Trainer

Now working with my third Gundog with Nina and can’t speak highly enough of the content and quality of her training and support.Amazing info on the webpage, social media and in the new Chronicle too.Each class tailored to the individual dog and owner - we have maximum fun and get great results.All my dogs work and compete, but mostly they are happy, healthy dogs.

We’re so pleased that we’ve found Nina. We’ve discovered things that we’ve been doing wrong with our GSP and everything started to make sense just from one session. Lots of tips and help were given and we feel a huge sense of relief already. Thank you Nina for all of your help!

Had another lesson with Nina and once again learnt so much in a short space of time. We worked on jumping up , recall and retrieving.Nina explains things in a way you can easily relate . My 9 month old lab cut his paw needing stitches and no walks.I turned to Nina for some tips on how to keep him entertained as he was becoming bored.One zoom meeting later Cooper was wagging his tail and really interacting with me again.Such simple things but amazing to see how quick he picked them up.Thank you Nina both Cooper and I can’t wait to come for more training.

We have a nervous and reactive cocker spaniel, a previous trainer had damaged him and our relationship. Working with Nina has been great - she has helped us regain our bond, build our spaniels confidence and lay the foundations for a happier future.

We were prompted to call Nina when it was becoming difficult to take our two boys on walks. One was reactive, fearful, lots of barking and lunging and his brother started to copy/join in. Walking was anxiety invoking,stressful and not particularly enjoyable. We saw improvements from our first training session. Snoop and Bo responded to Nina’s magic straight away. Seeing the results, it was a no brainer to continue. We all have benefitted from training in the short time we have been doing it and will definitely continue. Not only do the dogs get taught but so do we. It’s absolutely amazing to be able to work with Nina and we would highly recommend her to anyone with dog training needs.

We met Nina when our Fox Red Labrador was around 9months, he pulled like a tank, reacted (Barked and lunged forward), mediocre recall and was genuinely a handful that we didn't know how to correct.The first session he barked through the whole session, Nina was patient calm and most importantly showed us how to correct and work on these behaviours, after just a few sessions Freddie showed a massive improvement. We have continued his training with some offsites with Nina who again has helped us get the correct behaviour around his excitement for other dogs and people.I would highly recommend Nina and wish we had found her from the start of Freddies training. She is a joy to train with and so knowledgeable with the dogs.

- Nina has helped so much with training our Freddie (and me lol). Our last session, we moved on from the basics and started working more on Fred’s retrieval skills with the Dummy. He loves this and we now both have lots more work we can takeaway and practice. Nina’s holistic approach helps me to understand my dog’s needs and behaviours, this really is having a positive effect on building my bond with Freddie. Highly recommend Nina and can’t wait for our next session.

Training with Nina is so gloriously rewarding. Everything she says makes perfect sense and she takes the time to explain the logic behind anything she asks you to do. My dog’s safety and happiness is always the priority and we always come away having learned a lot, and have fun while doing so!
