What an excellent firm. We had one of those nightmare situations where our chain looked like it might collapse at the last minute but our associate, Anri, was persistent, professional and extremely competent. I have praised her to everyone who asks how our house move is going. Would recommend without reservation.

Contacted to get an idea of their costs for dealing with my divorce, seemed helpful and friendly so tried to instruct them. Took them around 2 weeks to send formal costs estimate and had to chase them for it several times. Meanwhile, they drafted one e mail to my ex husband which was basically a rushed cut and paste job using text from my e mail to them, very unimpressive. Decided to leave it there and instruct another firm only to get a letter from Risdon Hosegood over a year later threatening to take action over their bill - which I'd never received and which they'd omitted to enclose with that letter - shoddy work again. Would never use - my divorce was dealt with very efficiently and cost effectively by another local firm.

Awful controlling appointment & notes and the minutes taken simultaneously as shocking snails pace.

I would recommend Risdon Hosegood to anyone looking for a solicitor to represent them in a house sale or purchase. This is the second time we have used Paula Woodland, once to sell our house and more recently to buy. She has gone above and beyond to ensure our house purchase went through, even though at times it was not straight forward. Paula, Ben and Hilary wre all very professional and efficient and more importantly thoroughly nice people to deal with.

We have just used the wonderful Emma Ryburak for our house purchase and we can't recommend her enough. Nothing was too much trouble, she answered every question we had so quickly and made the whole process so easy for us.

We found them very efficient, helpful and friendly. We felt that they were always on the ball with our sale and purchase and doing their best to get things moving as quickly as possible. They were quick to respond to our queries. All in all we were totally satisfied and would strongly recommend them.

Mercedes Thorne (who I see doesn’t work here anymore) was one of the rudest people I’ve dealt with, she had no people skills, compassion or interest in doing her job. I transferred to Paula Walker who was much better but the communication was still lacking in parts. I feel they can’t handle their work load and still can’t as now have ignored a message from the land registry related to an expedite request. Disappointing service and not recommended if you actually want things done in a timely fashion.I’m sure you won’t recognise me as a client, unfortunately for me I was one!

Shambles.Risdon were the Solicitor for our buyer and I would not recommend them from my experience of their service.They were slow to get back to all correspondence, and delayed exchange of Contracts, despite having extra time to be prepared. They sat on our answers to enquiries for two months' before reviewing them the week before exchange. It became more frustrating when they were chased but did not respond. They ignored our Estate Agent, despite promises of phone calls back.From my experience, it was all a muddle and caused everyone in the chain great frustration.A response to this review will be based around 'I'm not the customer' but I experienced and suffered from the poor service they delivered.
