Hondo Chinese Supermarket

Lots of products don't have price and those which have tags most of them are written in Asian not English, but they should keep in mind that most of the people that come in Bath are not just Asian but also other nationalities that don't speak their language so it is confusing for us foreigners to understand. The fresh products were few. Didn't find wasabi or ginger and many other Asian products. Prices really high for the same products that I buy in London Chinatown shops Milano Chinatown shops or any other asian shops I've been too. The shop seems poor, poor maintained and very few products

I have lived in Bath for 4 years, and my experience at the Chinese market was as follows: The young front desk staff were not very friendly and did not provide any information when I was making the payment. It would have been helpful if they had at least informed me about the total amount I spent and asked if I needed a bag. However, on a positive note, the older front desk staff member was very helpful and even recommended some discounts to me. Additionally, he was quite handsome. Overall, the service experience at the market was a mixed one.

A lot of Chinese and Asian food. Also, there are a variety of local items. The price is a little expensive though. But it’s a good place when someone is missing hometown

Good variety of snacks and decent selection. Reminds me of home. Everything you would need at a decent price! Bakery section was a nice addition.

Excellent variety of asian foods that are hard to find in the big supermarkets in central Bath (Sainsbury's and Waitrose). There is also a selection of fresh produce at the front of the shop which is really nice. Although the shop appears to cater mostly for Asian customers - most of the signagne is not in English - the staff have always been helpful when I've required assistance to find what I'm looking for or to understand what a product is. The price is a little on the high side for some items but considering the lack of other similar stores in Bath, the premium is justified.

Always find the Asian ingredients that I need to remind me of the food in China. Very reasonably priced and good fresh produce that lasts. The restaurant to the side also serves amazingly tasty food, for such a great price. Definitely worth a visit!
