Motherwell Physio

First impression of Motherwell Physio is the warm and friendly welcome. The people are lovely. I went because of severe pain in my arm which had been going on for 3 weeks. Painkillers prescribed by A&E were not even touching the sides of it. Within 5 mins of describing my symptoms to the physio, Shane diagnosed a nerve compression in my neck-that's why painkillers for my arm were no use. My treatment involved manual therapy to alleviate the pain and I was advised to request the relevant medication for nerve pain from my GP. From that very first treatment, my pain level started to reduce. I was also advised on which exercises to do between appointments as an adjunct to treatments.A mere 7 subsequent physio sessions, in conjunction with nerve meds, mean that my pain is now gone and I was today discharged from physio. Contacting Motherwell Physio was the most fortunate decision I could have taken. The range of knowledge of the practitioners is reassuring and I always felt I was in safe hands. I dread to think how long I would have continued to suffer had I not availed myself of their expertise. Shane and Co., I cannot thank you enough and will recommend your clinic to anyone I meet who could benefit from your services. Cheers, Janet

Only good things to say about my visit to Shane.I went for an assessment due to horrible neck pain. He quickly figured out what was wrong, then gave me a massage that provided instant relief.He is clearly passionate about what he does & explained everything very clearly.I've left without pain and with good advice to prevent future issues.He's also a lovely guy, very friendly and made me feel at ease instantly.Highly recommend Motherwell Physio

I went to Shane after knee replacements. One on 31.7.21 and One on 7.4.23. I wouldn't have used anyone else, His service was excellent. He makes you feel very comfortable and at ease. He explains what he is doing. Shane is also very polite and easy to talk to. I would not hesitate to go back if I had any other problems..

I have been suffering with a back injury for 8 weeks.Thought that it would be best to get a professional physio to have a look and decided to book with Shane. Best decision I made as first appointment was made at a time to suit me. I felt at ease and Shane talked me through what was going on with my back, within a few days I was feeling the benefits of his work. Returned for second appointment today and I have no pain now. I would highly recommend Shane.

I was suffering in pain from my left shoulder with limited movement. Shane diagnosed I had a frozen shoulder and recommended I have an injection which would easy the pain and assist with the recovery. …. Fast forward two week and already got back most of my movement and pain free. Wouldn’t hesitate to use again………Thanks Shane

Shane was excellent. Extremely knowledgeable, caring and thoroughly professional. He assesses, diagnosed and then treated me in one session. In doing so, he brought about a very speedy recovery. I can't recommend him enough.

Seen by Shane following quad injury playing football. Shane completed a very thorough assessment, identified the issue and provided a treatment plan that allowed my return to play in a shorter time frame than expected!! The fact he has the equipment in the clinic to scan the injury and pin point the severity and location is definitely a huge advantage and something I have not come across with other services.

Great Physio,really first time for me going to a physio with severe neck/shoulder and arm pain with numbness in my fingers and didn't know what else to do as the pain relief wasnt helping for weeks.I found Shane very welcoming and informative of where the pain was coming from,was able to assess this and advise what to do and not to do,able to explain things so I could understand this.After a few months of treatment and following his help and guidance, and also after doing too much I set myself back but I was able to get back on track eventually. Still recovering but I am pain free after following everything and rest is a must! Will not hesitate if I need a physio in the future,great booking system too which helps the ease of getting an appointment when it's suitable.

I'm very impressed with the way Shane has analysed and treating my lower back issues, his personal touch is really appreciated. He also spent time explaining to me the underlying cause of the problem so I fully understand what needs to be corrected and can better manage similar issues in the future. It's empowering

Shane is a fantastic physio. I’ve seen him for 2 separate issues now & both times he’s assessed, started treating me & given me rehab exercises & a clear return to running plan from the first appointment which has relieved the stress & low mood an injury can cause when you feel you’re not getting anywhere. The rehab he’s given me has been super specific - very targetted & has worked to great effect. Shane really knows his stuff & explains things very well. I’ve now followed Shane from his previous practice & would recommend him to anyone looking for a physio to treat a sports injury! Great job Shane & thank you again!
