I paid £120 for a damp survey of my property. I was given a suggested series of works, for which they quoted £10k.I then checked with a number of damp proof companies, none of whom recommended anywhere near as much work as being necessary.According to one specialist who visited, only a single minor DIY job was necessary to prevent any damp in the near future.This company seems, from my experience, to be exactly what people worry about when getting quotes from tradespeople. A company that will suggest works which are unnecessary for a large amount of money. I am glad that I shopped around.

Needed treatment for penetrating damp and condensation in two bedrooms, involving plaster removal, waterproof membrane, plus new ceiling & lights in one of the rooms. I had to postopne the work for a few months - no problem. Subsequently very pleased with work completed within estimated time. Minimal mess, no noise, good finish ready for decorating. I was impressed with the care that Timkon took with the work on my property. Although the work was disruptive, they took every care to leave the property tidy at the end of each day - with little touches such as taping up the cupboards to protect them from plaster dust. The work seems to have been done efficiently, tidily and professionally - with the office being knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend Timkon to others.

We had rising damp at the back of our property and we felt we were in very safe hands with this specialist service. Timkon were extremely prompt and professional, they completed the work swiftly and efficiently in the time predicted and were very communicative about the job in hand. Would highly recommend and would definitely use this service again if needed in the future.

Beware of this contractor. They visited my house and claimed to have identified rising damp throughout the entire ground level of our house and quoted thousands to resolve it. I became suspicious when the 'surveyor' claimed damp was present on party walls as well. I employed an independent damp surveyor to validate the claims. The independent identified some penetrating damp but NO rising damp. He suggesting some low cost remedial work to resolve the issue. Please DO NOT trust these people. They will rip up your house for no reason and charge you thousands. If you want to diagnose the issue use an independent specialist and go from there.

We are very happy with the work that was carried out to a damp internal wall by Timkon Services. They kept us up to date about when the work would begin, promptly replied to emails and arrived when they said they would. We are very happy with the end result.
