Wonderful one-stop shop place. And it is located in Eldon Square, so very handy for an all day shopping plan.A department store with its own brand, certainly not average one, but quality one. The M&S brand is also interestingly called “down-to-Earth cost luxury.”It has its own opticians that opens as the department store. It is really handy.I was also very impressed with the commemorative biscuit tins and tea tins. It is with nice design that I’d like to collect. The shop is well-staffed so the experience was great and the product range is wide although it does not sell much other brands.

Went to the cafe on a Sunday afternoon, 4 of us ate and had drinks. Eggs Benedict and soup were fine but the chicken and fish and chips were very poor. Dried out chicken ciabatta and fish and burnt chips, cheesy chips also came with burnt chips and unmelted cheese. Disappointed that it was nowhere near what I could have gone to Macdonald's for and paid less!! Latte coffee was so small it was finished in 2 mouthfuls. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere as we wish we had (now we know why they had plenty of tables available).

Used the new self service in the cafe, found it easy to use but feel they haven't thought of their market audience. It does have staff helping people use them but don't feel it was the right move. Maybe have offered self service and people on tills so people had an option

Perfect for both grocery shopping and for clothing and homeware. Very helpful staff, especially when stressing over children's uniforms.Absolutely love what's on offer over Christmas in here.

I am totally disappointed with the new layout as my good friend in a wheelchair was injured because there is no designated wheelchair checkout and the ones there are too narrow to turn to get shopping into his backpack. Also disappointed in the no response to his accident.

Difficult shop to navigate when it's busy, which is pretty much always. Had an awful experience with security today. Bought a pack of mushrooms (for a pound, I might add) and when I walked out of the shop, the alarms went off. I obviously stop and the security at the door asks me for my receipt. I tell him I have no receipt, as the self service machine timed out before I could press the button. Security begins to shout at me, telling me I must have my receipt. I try to explain, but he doesn't appear to either understand me or listen? He then tells me I'll have to show him what's in my bags. Nothing but clothes (with receipts) and a book (also with receipts). He doesn't know what to do, apparently, as he just blankly stares at my bags... anyway. Manger (I think) comes along and tells me it must be my clothing with alarms still on, and that I'll have to get them taken off. No other shops' alarms went off. She tells the security guy that I can go, that there's no alarms on mushrooms.I felt very cornered as a minor when in the presence of this man, who seemed convinced I was trying to steal. I understand what his job is, but shouting at customers is not a reasonable response at all. Very disappointed and will not be coming in again alone.

Staff do not put the customer first at all. They would rather have a natter with a friend that’s came in to the shop then actually do their job and help customers. A staff member completely ignored me after I needed help on the self service kiosk after repeatedly excusing my self and asking for help.
