Its an old club, The staff were all nice. They put on a good buffet for functions. Good enough selection of beers including 0% alcohols. Thumbs up

We were there at a ceilidh-evening and really had a lot of fun. Everyone was very polite, it was very crowded, but I guess that is a good thing. There is a bar for refreshments with free tap water, which was absolutely need. Would recommend everyone to participate on a ceilidh as well.

This Royal British Legion Club is where the men of the Airborne Engineers Association Scotland meet on the Third Sunday of every other month commencing on the 20th January 2020. The bar is open prior to meeting proceedings. We gather to discuss various subjects such as welfare of our ageing membership, the lack of MOD proper proceedure regarding some of our men who should receive a GSM with the South Arabia clasp as they were involved in the Battle for the Dhala Road" at Al-Milah in the Aden Protectorate on 12th April 1965. We also plan lunch gatherings and other social events. The Parachute Regiment Association also meet at this venue. Facilities are in line with most RBL clubs throughout Scotland."

What a hoot! Had a fantastic time last night at the Open House Ceilidh night here at the British Legion in Canonmills. The room was full, everyone was up for it, so so welcoming and friendly and cheap drinks to boot - cant wait to return:)

Went to a ceilidh on Friday night. Was a very grumpy guy managing the door in a kilt who growled at us. Not nice.He also shouted at someone going to use the toilet upstairs and said there was a toilet downstairs; the guy going up the stairs had to explain in front of everyone that he needed a toilet bowl! Very humiliating.

We attended a ceilidh here and had a marvelous time, a highlight of our visit. The history in the building is apparent, and the local community is welcoming. We would gladly attend events here any chance we have on a return visit to Edinburgh.
