Tanglewood Boarding Cattery

All,Honestly I am distraught. My cat spent three nights at this cattery on a recommendation.We put our cat in the royal suite and it was supposed to be luxury and warm.We picked him up this morning and it was freezing, dirty and the lady said we have had no power since Xmas eve but main power is in the bungalow which is on the same site as the cattery.They could not get my cat out of the so called royal suite and we managed to get him out. It was genuinely a really upsetting experience for me and my fiancée.When we got back home in the warm, all his toys we gave we’re damp and he had 5 sachets of cat food and two remaining. He should have had a total of 7 over the 3 days but he was under fed and given no treats. Apparently they couldn’t give many treats as they were under staffed.I won’t ever be taking my cat back to this cattery, animal welfare is defined as “ the feelings and physical wellbeing of an individual animal”This business needs to re-evaluate it’s objectives to this definition, otherwise there will be many more distraught cats leaving tanglewood.

Wonderful Sanctuary for my fir-babies and helpful & friendly staff!As we both travel regularly, we needed to find a reliable, professional, caring, compassionate, clean and affordable cattery for our two cats . We have been using Tanglewood Cattery for the past 6 years!My fur-babies always come home happy and content!We shall see you soon !RegardsThe baker family

Caring friendly staff . I really feel that my cats are well looked after .Edit: after finding out about the loss of two cats from Tanglewood, I can't in all honesty return.

Always friendly and loved coming here, but due to staff change sometime ago it's seems to of gone downhill. The care has not been the same. The cleanliness and hygenie needs an overhaul. Both my cats came back poorly from there last visit, so we opted for somewhere new, Sorry.

Our cat has stayed at Tanglewood 3 times and we will now be looking elsewhere. The last time the staff had messed up not just ours but other people's bookings which resulted in double bookings and cancellations or not being booked in at all. This is because they record everything in a book and use part time staff on rotation which is fine if there is organisation but there is none here. It is 2022, they have a computer in the reception so why on earth are they still using a book!? We were one of the lucky ones who kept our booking but we were not impressed when we went to colect our cat.He is a friendly and affectionate little chap and we were told he was aggressive towards staff for his entire stay which makes me question what were they doing to cause this reaction? Furthermore, he had wet his blanket and the pen stank when we collected him.We had concerns about this 3rd visit due to coming back with unused wet food (we provide our own) on his second visit but we gave them the benefit of the doubt.Our experience is that Tanglewood is a lovely looking facility but there is a lack of care and organisation by those who work there and we feel our cat isn't given the proper care during his stay. It is also one of the more expensive catterys locally.I really would suggest those reading this review to avoid Tanglewood Cattery.

This place is on pippas army where in May this year they lost BOTH of a ladies cats. Can you imagine taking your cats in and losing both of them? That’s a scary thought. I wouldn’t use them.

Our cat always has a stay at Tanglewood and he always comes home settled and relaxed. Beautiful surroundings and each placement is suited to the cats needs... lovely staff. Friendly and efficient.

Our cat has stayed with Tanglewood for a few years now over the summer holidays. We know he is getting cared for there. When we left him with other catteries he would come home very stressed, however, none of that with Tanglewood. Fantastic staff, lovely arrangement of lodges and all other boarding options. We will happily have our cat stay there again for our next time away, knowing he is well cared for.

Won’t be using this cattery again. I had to collect them a day early and it was impossible to get hold of them for 4 days in the run up to collecting which is ridiculous as they are looking after your pets, no returned emails or answered calls. When I arrived the suite they were in was filthy and cold, they were both cowering under a shelf and would go no where near the staff. Was very distressing to see. Not good enough.

Polite, knowledgeable people. The accommodation is great, and the location is relaxed. Our cat Chuck" has stayed there a few times
