Ghyll House Camping Site

Camping at Ghyll House is great, it’s raw and back to basics. If you are looking for pristine grass and modern facilities this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for somewhere you can relax away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life, this is the place you need. The facilities are basic but clean in fact I never saw the facilities looking messy which is fantastic. The site is out the way and offers spectacular views around. The owner supplied us with a fire pit and wood when we asked and we had a fantastic time. This site is somewhere we will visit again. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful time . It is a true working farm and the view from our tent was magnificent! The facilities are basic but clean.We walked all day long on the saturday, so getting back to the tent and taking in the views was pure relaxation. We met Chrissy on our final morning and she was delightful (Chrissy I don't know how you mange to keep your nails so nice - I broke 2 of mine while camping!)We will definitely be returning xxx

Had a fabulous couple of nights camping here. Beautiful views and the owners were always available and super friendly. The showers I had in the afternoon were always piping hot. We’ll definitely be booking again. Seen some people complaining about a gentle slope - this is camping not a 5 star hotel, where in nature is perfectly flat ? - I slept like a baby. All the kids I saw loved every minute of it. Half an hour walk to the pub. Just book it.

Fantastic small campsite. Showers and toilet facilities. Campfires allowed off the ground.Really friendly owner.

Excellent and picturesque location with wonderful views across Wharfedale. This is a peaceful and relaxing place on a working farm. The owner is very friendly and helpful with lots of local knowledge, suggestions for walks etc. The facilities are clean and work well, hot efficient showers and good washing up area. Totally recommended from me.

Wow what a gorgeous place. Travelled up from France to spend a few days with family. Extremely lucky to find this amazing campsite. Fabulous views, great facilities and a wonderful host. Thank you Mike, for a wonderful stay.

The views were lush, the silence of night was lush, and services were good, what made the weekend apart from the weather was Mike, so helpful and friendly, his aim is to make sure you enjoy the little slice of heaven. Thank you so much and look forward to seeing you again soon.

The farmer couldn't do enough to help! Very friendly and accommodating, even towed us out with his tractor one morning. Showers nice and hot and loos clean. Beautiful view over the valley.
