A night to remember!! We stumbled across this place while looking for somewhere to camp for the night. We called in for a pint and Oliver the barman suggested that the owner might allow us to camp on his land for the night, which we gratefully accepted. We stayed in The Crown that evening and got chatting with the locals who recommended the food which was absolutely fantastic!!!! Lovely food!!!!! I would very much recommend this place for the good food, good ale and really great and friendly people. I'm planning on going back very soon.

What a great find. Traditional Dales pub with rooms and really friendly welcome from the owners and locals. Great food, properly home cooked. After a good night's sleep breakfast was also a delight with Manx (though not Craster) kippers for breakfast. Good porridge and coffee. Slightly let down by PG Tips rather than Yorkshire Tea in the room.

A super little pub nestled in the village of Lofthouse. A cosy and quirky pub that oozes character.A nice Yorkshire welcome as you walk in, add some locals and you have a great atmosphere.The food was really nice. I had the ham and leek pie and the good lady had a huge beer battered fish and chips. The portion size was more than enough. Perfect.The bar is adorned will some local ales so you won't be disappointed if that's your bag.PB

Amazing pub with amazing food. We were camping nearby mid week so it was quiet but meant that we were able to chat to everyone in the pub, which made our evening. Everyone was so friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. The food was out of this world, delicious and hearty portions. Highly recommend eating here. We'd go again next week if we lived nearer! Really dog friendly too.

Old stone built inn with lots of character. Cozy bar with real fire burning. Excellent range of Masham brewed beers. Great service at the bar. Outdoor seating overlooking car park was uninspiring. Quirky toilet facilities.

Went on a lunchtime with my partner and dog. Really great food and a homely atmosphere. Dog friendly pub. The landlord and landlady couldn’t do enough for us. They really made us all feel welcome. Food was home cooked, tasty and in generous portions. Their hospitality really made our day. Highly recommend.

Lovely pub but does not advertise the very limited open times on Google or their website. So we turned up and had missed their kitchen times. Didn’t pick up the phone when I rang either. See my photo for the times.
