A corner shop - no more and no less - no false pretensions it just is exactly what it ought to be. A newsagent cum sweet shop with a nice line in very good fresh sandwiches/filled rolls. Perfect for when you have brought your wife to the hairdresser next door and you have an hour or more to kill until she is ready to be swept home in style, and you are cracking with hunger! Very friendly laid-back service. You are quite likely to end up in a discussion on the ways of the world as expressed in the newspapers of the day. Before you know it, your spouse is ready for the homeward journey and you have not had time to eat your sandwich yet, but somehow that does not matter!
