Wenlock Court, Luton Student Accommodation

Pure horror!Check in process takes ages, people in reception don't know which room they should lead me too, upon enetering there was lack of bedding & toilet equipment, after room change it appeared dirty - unwashed windows, dust everywhere, smudges on mirror. Lack of fundamental kitchen equipment despite description online - two spoons, pan & rusty old pot. Lack of hairdryer despite mentioned. Very limited contact with reception desk, as receptionist is hardly ever available - after bringing up the issue I was told he cannot do anything about the case. Kitchen equipment & hair dryer appeared after more than two weeks of requesting. Staff violates privacy, waltizng into room without knocking, or even walking in there whilst I am not present & my room is locked with a key. Big no no, I don't reccomend the place, unless you don't care about cleaniness & privacy.

Just not a good place for students:-Mail is delivered to an entirely different building and a pain to get-Multiple times where hot water was unavailable-Multiple times where the fire alarm goes off pre 9 am and it takes them 20+minutes to respond-Multiple times where people just barge in after knocking once with no prior announcement-Bathrooms are tiny and impossible to prevent from flooding-Very thin walls so could hear neighbours footsteps all the time despite wearing a headset-Laundry quite expensive at £3.50 per washing and drying load-Quite expensive as accomodation but not worth it at all

Thank you Campus Living Village for providing a credit against the outstanding rent. Although I still had to pay for the year the credit applied was appreciated.

Very calm and organized place, although very overpriced but overall good experience especially for a first year university student

Smelly, dirty, lacking freedom. The rooms and kitchens are fine but not enough is done for those living with messy and inconsiderate people! A friend of mine has recently had a bad experience with this. The security can also be very rude, however it is very much appreciated that the gate and blocks are so secure.

Not the best experience. I moved here for university in September 2020 and I’m staying here 2021 and I’ve have no ends of problems. As a student midwife rest and sleep is important which is really hard to do through paper thin walls where you can hear everything! You can hear light switches, plugs being turned on, they don’t do much at all for complaints about flat mates. The bins downstairs have had rats (which cannot always be helped but have tried dealing with this problem). The windows hardly open so you get no fresh air. Endless amounts of room maintenance needed due to shower problems, heating problems and toilet problems which are a constant need of fixing. They have no parking (for those who need it/no discount support with the car park behind).

I stayed through Airbnb and Dromor as Campus subletted wenlock. I was stabbed here at wenlock court in May and they did not offer any support or help and he was a resident! As I said they subletted this to Dromor who a few weeks ago November gave 1-2 weeks notice to tenants living here 6 months+ which is illegal. In addition they are now trying to lock us inside by padlocking the gate. The person from reception wanted to lock us inside with a broken turnstile and therefore no escape. There is also no hot water they blame repairs but other buildings have hot water so they are trying to get us out by force. Vile and disgusting behaviour by Campus living and their sublet Dromor.Campus always add the same script as a reply and do NOTHINGNow campus living tried to enter a mans room here and turned off the lift. Well done campus living, you are vile.

Property has been managed by Dromor for 2 yrs under some sort of fishy agreement ...- Horrendous, variable rates for ex student rooms.- Old, soft mattresses plus dirty carpets.- Messy shared kitchens.- Windows don't open fully (poor ventilation)- Thin walls.- Short staying people mixed with long term occupiers.- Prison style turnstile gate.- No reception or security on site, Fitzroy reception mostly rude handing over parcels / letters- Hot water out dozens of times since April 2023 (1-6 days without it)- Unsafe area (stabbing incidents).ILLEGAL EVICTION IN PROGRESS...On 14/11/2023 all occupiers (regardless of how long they have been living here) were told to move out within 1-2 weeks as the deal with Dromor had come to an end (the whole thing kept secret for 2.5 months !). No notices to quit or Section 21 notices served. Apparently the place has been run without HMO license. CLV is offering people horrendous room rates (34-54 per night)

Akmal,Sam,Chris one of the best receptionists they provide a lot of help when you ask for it because of them I’ve been provided one of the best rooms I am not gonna lie because of akmal I got through plenty of incidents and since then he’s been very helpful that includes sam, chris

This place is alright, it’s funny:) Receptionist are helpful and I like the new washing machines
