Bank House Hotel Spa & Golf Club

We had a lovely 3 night stay. We enjoyed the spa, the massages were very good as was the pool etc. our room was clean and tidy. The food was a surprise for me, as I follow a vegan diet. I had my first vegan afternoon tea and cream tea here! The meals were also excellent . The vegan offerings for myself were delicious and my non vegan husband said ‘it was pretty good really’ translation really good! Lastly, the staff were lovely, friendly, helpful and welcoming. We are looking forward to visiting again soon

Lovely venue, I attended a wedding reception here and the staff were really friendly, organized and helpful and the event went smoothly and the meals were well presented. The hotel room was clean, modern and pretty large. The breakfast was good.

Nice location , clean well presented room with separate sitting room . Nice touch having nespresso coffee machine.Bar was hit and miss with service , no draught beers due to Gas issue no excuse for top hotel ,engineers and supplies 24 hrs. Lack of bottled beer and no malibu although I did see a bottle later in the evening in adjoining bar.Garden restaurant service excellent and food 10/10.Breakfast good selection well presented .Spa limited with no treatments available during our stay.Pool and changing area clean .We will return .

Enjoyable stay, but I would recommend you change the wording on your menu, From triple cooked chips to skin on fries! Chips were very disappointing, fish was nice. Service OK, but to add a service charge in a hotel is a bit steep when your guests at the hotel, SC should be at your discretion, not inforcesed.

Lovely location. Elegantly furnished rooms. Extremely comfortable bed. Warm, friendly and very helpful staff. Food excellent. Disabled facilities very poor.

On arrival it was not very well sign posted where we had to go to check in etc from the car park. We got to the front desk and the blonde lady was polite, a bit short and sharp, but polite. We then got to our room and at first pleasantly surprised. However on closer inspection, the room, which isn't cheap! Was very tired and lacking. Just very disappointing really. There was large patches on paint that had fallen and peeled off the ceiling in the main room and bathroom. The Wardrobe and chest of drawers seemed quite shoddy and cheap looking/feeling. The bed was terrible! We barely slept at all. It was 2 twins put together, and the ridge in the middle was very large and uncomfortable, plus the left hand side (closest to window) felt very flimsy and was rock hard! We both felt for a superior room, nothing felt very superior at all. The bathroom was OK apart from the paint peeling and looking awful and the shower hose really needs replacing as is very worn and blackened.

First class experience. All of the staff - without exception - were friendly, helpful, well informed, and always 'service with a smile'. The food was great, comfortable rooms - well serviced and spotless, enjoyable golf course, good convenient location. Will certainly come again.

What a fantastic weekend .my daughter had her wedding there and they could not have been more accommodating. Lovely reception guys, especially Alex, who was lovely , pleasant, and put up with us on the Friday night ! The wedding people were amazing too and saved the day by repairing a broken wedding cake . Lovely gardens and rooms were great and the food for the wedding was superb. Outstanding . DelishThank you so much for a great weekend x

A lovely spot for our company's 70th anniversary celebrations. My 2nd floor room was light and airy with a huge comfortable bed and a pristine bathroom. Drinks were very reasonably priced across the board. Breakfast was ok, the bacon was covered with white slime, presumably as it contained a lot of water, so this was scraped off after which it was ok. No fried eggs available, only scrambled but it was well seasoned and tasty. Staff were friendly and polite.

Love it here, had a weekend spa with my partner, food is really nice, afternoon tea is very nice, breakfast is good,comfy beds, with the usual room facilities, nice bar with log burner, cocktail menu, selection of the usual beverages,2nd visit look forward to the 3rd time, use of spa ,pool,sauna,steam room jacuzzi,if your brave cold showers, treatments available if you book them,or they included with a spa package,we had the bliss package.
