High Street Dental Practice

Trying to arrange an appointment as i believe my histroic root canal has failed. Tooth is in serious pain and i know from experience that i will soon be in agony.Was provided a 'check up' appointment 6 weeks away, which no doubt they will then arrange the actual treatment i need for however long after that.Found receptionist Lisa to be short, impatient and quite frankly rude. Had absolutely no time for me, kept cutting me off mid sentence and every question was answered with 'i don't know, ask the dentist, I'm on my own and too busy'Would love to leave the practise, but unfortunately I'm tied to this one now and nobody else is taking on...UPDATEHad a call from the head receptionist (really sorry I've forgot your name!) who managed to get me an appointment days later. She was friendly, polite and apologised for the previous issues.Dentist was also professional and prescribed antibiotics, advising to call back and get an emergency appointment if it persists.Have changed the stars to three, unfortunately still maintain initial service was appalling I'm afraid.

Excellent customer service and patient care today when I came for my appointment to see the hygienist. Lisa the receptionist was friendly and welcoming and sorted out all my follow up appointments. Ziyad assisted by Aishia were both kind, reassuring and put me at ease all the way through my appointment. Ziyad provided me with lots of advice and informed me of everything I needed to do in regards to after care. All in all I was very satisfied with the service.

Got a phone call last minute that my appointment will have to be pushed back. Which I originally booked a day off at work. Then when I got to the new appointment slot which was first thing in the morning. The dentist arrived late (30 minutes). I was in the room for no more than 2 minutes. Dentist didn't really check my teeth. Pretty much had a quick look. All rushed as he was late

Couldn’t recommend this practice as failed to look after my basic needs as a patient - being registered with a NHS dentist shouldn’t mean you are second best to private patients.Being told you can’t book in an emergency appointment and having to travel to a different dentist because you lack a duty of care isn’t what I consider to be a service level anyone should receive .No consistency in dental staff and lottery of seeing a regular face .I feel sorry for the reception staff who are genuinely polite but hiding the fact this practice cannot and should not be given any NHS status .A shame as when I joined the practice it functioned well for a while .Wouldn’t touch this practice full stop.

As a private patient the service is terrible. Staff are not able to book appointments correctly, I had several rearranged without reason. Staff are rude to customers. I called for an hour to make an appointment then gave up and walked to the surgery to find 4 girls sitting at the desk not doing anything, I was told they had been busy at 10am and not able to answer the phone. Had denture made that I had to fit myself it was so badly made my mouth bled. Took over a month to get it looked at before waiting for a new one to be made. There are alot of bad reviews about this place I am surprised it is still open. It needs a good manager to deal with customer care.

Went in for an air flow treatment today. The hygienist Heather was awesome, the results well you can see below( pictures before and after). I couldn't recommend anywhere else more so! Great pratice with a great team!

Like many others. I have been told I have no dentist unless I pay to go private. I have been with this practice for years and my wife and son are still OK to stay with them because they had an appointment booked. Saying that, my wife went last week for a check up which cost £70 because they decided to give her some xrays without mentioning the extra cost. Disgusting.

Been terrified of the dentist most of my life until I joined High Street Dental Practice in Burton…I’ve got periodontal disease so the treatment I recieve is pretty intense, sometimes I have 7 or more injections to numb my gums just so my hygienest can do the treatment and my appointments are an hour at a time twice every 3 months, I’ve got from being terrified to literally none even worried one single bit about going to the dentist, my dentist has changed 3/4 times since I joined in 2013, but every single one of them have been just as amazing as the last…my hygienist Sue is absolutely amazing, patient kind and talks me through everything and her dental nurse is just as lovely. Where to start with front of house, they welcome me and my family like we are their family, I really look forward to going to the dentist just to see Louise on reception and the other lady but can never remember her name but just as lovely as Louise, the pair of them are a blessing to the practice. Then you have the manager Georgina I think her name is and she’s amazing too. I really wanted to see her today to say thank for what she’s done for me, I’ve been wanting my teeth straightened for over 20 years but because of gum disease no dentist would help me, Georgina referred me and now I’m going to be getting my treatment and it means the absolute world to me…this dentist is kind of a special kind of dentist, always feels nice and friendly. I also take my brother Wayne who I care for cause he has special needs and he loves going as well, they talk and chat to him and he loves it, he always says after we leave “I like them in there”, bless him..so thank you thank you and thank you again for not only being amazing dentists but amazing people too

Absolutely disgraceful, if you can go somewhere else please do, I waited over an hour to be let in by a dentist who made excuses that his previous appoinment had gone over time which was a complete lie as no-one had entered or left his room for ages before I was called in, my appointment lasted less than a minute, consisting of him lowering the chair and blowing some air into my teeth and telling me everything is done???? By the time the assistant got glasses out of the drawer I was already done, what a joke, they can't do their jobs properly and are extremely rude, the receptionist even hung up on somebody while I was waiting and would continually complain and make comments about phone calls while rolling their eyes at every single phone call. It's ridiculous and if you ever want anything more than that you'll have to go private which I heavily suggest against because even then they probably will still cancel your appointment and take more money from you in the processIf you enjoy waiting for hours to get your appointment cancelled only to then get kicked out if you get cancelled too often by the dentist themselves, please go here!
