After Noah (Matthew and the team)?dod an excellent restoration on a family heirloom. The chair was in a sorry state but with expert re-caning, new fabric and expert restoration it looks beautiful. Highly recommend After Noah. A few before and after photos attached.

Matthew and his team sensitively and expertly repaired and restored my late Father's Chair. They did this while maintaining (as requested) the patina of all of it's history and usage. I am extremely happy with this and highly recommend them to you. Nice people, great work.

A magnificently thorough and painstaking restoration of a Victorian writing slope that had been in a bad way for decades, but still had a handsome marquetry exterior. Cracks in the casing, and some damage to the veneers, repaired, the lost hidden compartments re-created, new lock, hinges, catches and inkwells found, and a new leather writing surface. You would hardly know it had ever had anything wrong with it.It took time and was not cheap (but if you spread the cost over the time till it might want attention in the future, not so much per week!). But the end result is well worth it.

The work that Matthew and his team did at After Noah was stunning. They took a very battered and sun bleached walnut table and restored it to its former glory. In fact, I think it might be better now than it its original state. At every stage, Matthew kept me posted and was a pleasure to deal with.

Outstanding workmanshipI asked Matthew if he could restore two octogenarian wooden elephants that had no value to anyone but me.Despite never having worked on elephants before Mathew and team carved a pair of tusks, replaced the missing toe nails, repaired the damaged wood snd restored their faded sun parched bodies to the gorgeous deep ebony shine that I remember from my childhood. I am overjoyed.

I have two very old oak coffers that had been living in a leaky garage for 20 years and were in a shocking state. They are now absolutely beautiful, sensitively restored and easily the nicest furniture I own.Matthew is incredibly client focussed, very responsive and made the entire process so easy. Have just received back Fanny Mendelssohn's music stand, one of whose elaborately carved sides had been shattered en route back from a film shoot. It's lovelier than ever, with a bonus repair to the other end, and almost impossible to see the very many joins. Thank you!

We had four well loved Wishbone chairs that were showing their age, with paper cord seats that were starting to unravel. Matthew and his team did a fantastic job of sensitively restoring them without sacrificing any of the character they'd acquired over time. His corder also did brilliant work to rework the seats.
