RoadPro

Over the last couple of years we’ve attended rallys & shows and on more than one occasion have had to leave early as we’ve run out of power. In an attempt to establish a solution we watched lots of YouTube videos and came across RoadPro. Checking out their website I found some very helpful and informative guides about off-grid living and lithium batteries and felt inspired to fill in their off-grid questionnaire through which I was able to articulate my requirements. In response I was sent some suggestions and recommendations along with a very broad estimate of what it would cost me to upgrade my solar, batteries & charging methods. In addition they included options for an inverter to allow the wife to use her cherished coffee machine and induction hob when off-grid. Based on their feedback and a re-iterative two-way photograph laden dialogue with RoadPro I was able to continue my research, determine exactly what I wanted, how it could be installed (we’re a van so storage is really precious) and what it would cost. Even after being given a future installation date the proactive RoadPro dialogue continued and we were both further able to refine components, fitting instructions, fitting time estimates and costs. At the commencement of the install both Allen & Damian gave us a comprehensive appraisal of the work that would be done and even entertained a last-minute request from the Mrs for additional power sockets (for which they we’re able to source a particular bezel that they do not stock themselves!) Throughout the build we were given daily progress updates with pictures so that we knew exactly what was going on. This constant communication allowed us to give precise instructions about the install and made us feel as though we were there despite us living over hundred miles away from RoadPro’s workshop. After the install was completed Damian & Allen took us through what had been done, how it worked and assured us that we should get in touch in the unlikely event of issues. Damian’s install was superb – Where possible he managed to use dead-space that couldn’t be used for anything else (saving us valuable storage) and use existing components where suitable (saving us money). The control panels were installed in agreed positions without any visible wiring and everything fully and transparently integrated with the existing Sargent electrical components. The final bill was completely in line with the estimates we’d received throughout our correspondence. While we’ve spent a bit of money on having this work done it is small relative to the upfront cost of our campervan and we now have infinitely more options where we can stay. We have quality components that have been professionally installed and feel privileged to have had the Roadpro experience. Despite them being a four-hour round trip from our home we will be using them as our supplier and installer of motorhome & campervan components in the future.

THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST!I brought my Motorhome 2nd hand but it came with items that they installed for the previous owner (over 4 years ago) Even though I was not the original buyer, they have provided advice and guidance for the items as I got to know how they functioned. (A satellite TV system and a leisure battery) Today they checked out the leisure battery as it wasn’t holding charge and wasn’t powering the off grid systems. Whilst they couldn’t fix the off grid part they were able to advise a local to me company who probably could. They are popular and have plenty of work ahead but, if I need something that they sell, I am going to RoadPro! Thanks guys

I bought and got fitted a lithium 100ah battery a 140w solar panel and a 2kw pure some wave inverter and two control screen.When I arrived they asked me to put my motor home into the workshop where the fitter had all the companion on his work bench he went though them with me. We went into the motor home and asked me were I would like them fitted he confirm the work and I left him to get on with it.It was done in the time aloud the fitter went though all the work and showed me how it all worked the job was done to a very high standard.I would highly recommend them it's not cheap but quality dose not come cheap you won't regret the choice

Alan and the team have been the true professionals again. I was having issues with the vheicle starting battery running low in poor light and when I was unable to connect to 240.Following some discussion around fitting the Admail unit, but Alan said that it does not perform for every set up and had mentioned another unit, theOptimate DC - DC charger/ battery maintainer.So after several months of Road Pro trialling the Optimate, and the unit meeting our needs we were booked in to have the unit fitted while on route to our weekend destination. This was a massive help and not only saved time but also fuel.The job took about an hour and Alan showing us the fitted unit and explaining how will work, then following a discussion around extra solar panels we left, with a fantastically fitted unit.Once again we can not praise the attention to detail of the work leading upto and including on the day.Once again we would like to thank Alan and the team, including our fitter for their professionalism towards the work and their 5 star + customer service.Check out the Road Pro website and complete the contact form to discuss your installation needs.RegardsRichard

Roadpro recently installed 2 NDS Black Solar panels, an NDS solar mppt, and a much higher output NDS b2b charger than the standard b2b that Knaus supplied with the 640meg motorhome. After listening to the Roadpro team's advice, the b2b upgrade is equally, if not more important than just adding solar panels. We're already noticing a massive improvement in topping up the lithium leisure battery capacity far faster whilst on the road between stops, and the NDS solar is taking better care of both the engine and leisure battery whilst the motorhome is parked up for extended periods.Roadpro has many years of experience, are super helpful, and I wouldn't like to trust anyone else to work on the vehicle for any 12-volt or solar-related upgrades.The Roadpro team offer impeccable workmanship and a wealth of experience and knowledge, and the team keep you well informed of the install progress throughout the fit. I highly recommend Roadpro.

Apologies for delayed review but Tudor decided to try everything out first! Superb work installing solar panel, 2 lithium batteries and inverter in our van, by a small but efficient, friendly team. Good knowledge and experience, nothing too much trouble and they go the extra mile. Would recommend every time.

I noticed that the wife was sometimes reluctant to open our campervan roof vent/fan when she was cooking. Concerned that this was dangerous we had a chat about it and it turns out that she was getting rained on in bad weather. Had a look at the reviews and YouTube videos on the subject and decided to return to our friends at RoadPro for the installation of a MaxxFan. Allen kindly arranged the fitting to be done while we went for lunch in Daventry - We were able to drive there in the morning and return home with our Campervan in the afternoon. Once again the installation of the MaxxFan with lighted shade was excellent and you would not know that this hadn't been part of the initial factory fit. The fitter Damian installed it in such a way that he ensured the nearby cupboard doors could still open and that there were no visible wires. He also gave us a run through of the available functions. The fan itself is another game changer. The external transparent cover allows light to flood into our kitchen area but can be shut out if required using the built-in shade. The shade also has very bright switchable LED lighting which works well. When in use the reversable extractor moves significant amounts of air and can be used to create a pleasant breeze through the van when temperatures are high. There's an easily accessible filter that can be removed for cleaning. Most importantly it can be used in all weathers due to its hooded design. Wife has no excuse NOT to use it now and because of its simplicity does so. If anything it's so quiet that she forgets to switch it off ! Thanks RoadPro for another quality product fitted superbly.

Had a lithium battery install done recently, the guys Allen, Damian and Howard were all brilliant, took their time in explaining and answered all questions, its really good to see that type of interaction, and all on a friendly professional basis. Would thouroughy recommend and will be back very soon for solar.to be continued.So returned just last week for the final bits, 230 w solar panel and 360 w mppt controller, as well as a small issue with the battery and Bluetooth, all resolved. Once again the team were fantastic, would thoroughly recommend them, money well spent.

A superb experience. We had a rough idea of what we wanted, but Allan, Harry and Damian at Roadpro went through everything with us to make sure we had what we needed for the type of van trips we like to do. We now have some superb lithium batteries, an extra solar panel and inverter and various extra bits we didn't know we needed, as well as a very useful Maxxfan, no need for aircon now. The fitting took 2 days and Harry explained everything to us well. We have now had a few trips to test it all, and everything works so well, we have a van that is better than we could have hoped for. From initial contact with Andy, we got the impression that this was a highly professional team who really knew what they were doing and intended to provide the best service they could. It's not often that we spend money and really feel as satisfied with the experience. Highly recommended!
