Today I enquired for advice on a pair of boots. The adviser continued to eat his crisps while telling me I had probably not looked after mine. He didn't take time to show me any, didn't seem interested. Today he lost a sale but I hope he finished his crisps!

Popped in near closing time for a rucksack and a few other items. Didn't have time to browse, but I could see there was a good range of gear from some of the best brands. The owner was really knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the products as he demonstrated the pros and cons of various rucksacks. So good to shop at an authentic independent specialist instead of the big chains.

Went in to get some walking boots and felt like they weren’t interested in selling any to us. Apparently you have to have an appointment to get boots fitted and they were fully booked all day!

A great range of high-quality outdoor gear & helpful, friendly staff who know their stuff. My husband loves his long winter socks & I was able to fill my older boys' Christmas stockings with cool adventure equipment last year. It's a great place to update your kit or buy a useful gift!

I visited this store to find walking shoes for my difficult feet. The lady fitter was most patient but on this occasion was unable to fit me. I would recommend the shop.

Came in to buy walking shoes and was delighted to learn that they offer a fitting service. Got my feet properly measured, for the first in my adult life(!) and was given helpful advice and recommendations. The staff really took care of me and spent time, I didn’t feel rushed or forced into making a purchase. The store offers a solid range of quality outdoor stuff and i highly recommend a visit!

I attended Outdoor Depot to have a custom boot fitting. My particular situation is that I am recovering from a broken ankle and multiple fractures of my tibia. I was attended by James who displayed not only great knowledge of the different boot manufacturers but the physiology of the ankle and foot. To this end, he was able to identify the perfect boots for my needs.I thoroughly recommend this shop not only for the exemplary service but for the quality and variety of its stock.

Called in looking for walking shoes.Saw the shoes I was looking for but when I asked for a smaller size I was told that they had plenty of smaller sizes in stock but without me having a fitting wouldn't even entertain looking for let alone me try the smaller size on What's that all about? Needless to say NOT very impressed hence star rating.
