Amazing shop with an enormous amount of choice. It has everything you need for Middle Eastern or south Asian cooking, with a few ingredients that Maqbools didn't even have. I'm also addicted to Masala Munch so very pleased that they have a big range of them.

Most of the Indian food available there. Ready to cook & Ready to eat items available also available there.The shop owner is friendly. Speaks hindi and as I remember he belongs to Pakistan.

Not good service. The butcher is disrespectful and says something he does not believe. I told him I want half a leg of lamb. He says to me that you must take all of it. I told him why. He said because you took a lot of meat and few bones. I said, What do you want me to do? The piece is enough for me and I do not want to take a lot. He said okay and he cut the meat and gave me the bones and a little bit of meat. This is unbelievable and unreasonable. I ask everyone not to go or pay attention to such people.

I appreciate that some shoppers are very happy with the shop and its staff, but I've just come home to find very little in my grocery bag, and very little I could actually eat. The markdown in Good to Go was from £9 to £3, but I think I was being treated to 'up to £3' of goods. Two blackened bananas, two bunches of parsley that were dried out, two tomatoes, and some onions. I'm not angry, I just feel really let down because the person had so little respect for me, to get me out the shop with dead and rotten items. He just didn't care. Just didn't care. Bigger the fool me.

Fresh halal meat that is reasonably and honestly priced. I only bought chicken but the meat was fresh and staff were friendly. This will be my local place :)

Friendly staff service, good variety of products and one of the better meat shops in Edinburgh in terms of cutting off excess fat and cleaning their meat.Points where Rajah's could improve particularly regarding butchers/handling of meat:- Maintain competitive pricing especially with meat (prices have crept up during the pandemic)- Offer halal organic/taayib meat as people are taking a greater interest in the health and welfare of the animal before it was slaughtered (no antibiotics, growth hormone and steroid injected animal with no space to roam free)- Online home delivery
