This shop closed and then reopened in the same location. There is something I don't quite get about how its organised, a little inconvenient to get between floors. I went by round Christmas time and they were selling Christmas decorations at a cheaper price to what I'd seen elsewhere on high street; good I guess.

I wanted to buy a juke box on discount 65 pound it was. the lady made me get a new one and tried to charge me 140 pounds. I said I wanted the ex display one for 65 pounds they said for some reason they cant sell it. I had to carry it to the check out and went the wrong way of the que the second woman on the till was moody saying I was blocking people. I was carrying a heavy juke box give me time to breath. I never going back there again feel I've been treated badly

The shop has been closed for the last couple of months: the TJ Hughes website still lists it as being open, but the ground floor is completely empty when you look through the windows, and I'd imagine the other 2 floors are also empty. There are no signs in the windows to say what the store's actual status is.

Offers great value clothes and home wares plus electrical items over several floors. The best value items tend to be accessories such as gloves, hats and socks which are most competitive versus many other clothes retailers. The restaurant offers very tasty breakfasts and lunches at value for money prices

I tried to purchase some curtains and was assisted by one of the shop workers who then served me as I purchased them. After leaving the store I was apprehended by security, spoken to in a very aggressive manner whilst being accused of shoplifting the curtains. Having shown the receipt they promptly left with no apology or explanation. I returned to the shop and was treated the same by the manager. I wrote to the company and received no reply. Do not shop at TJ Hughes: it is an extremely unprofessional and shoddy outfit with no customer service.

Situated at the end of the lower precinct. A large store speed over three floors,acsess to the three floors via escalators going up only exit via lift or staircase.the staff can be thin on the ground,and not all payment areas are manned. Personally I have never had any problems purchasing items ,but finding a place to pay could mean going from one floor to another

Great place for all the homeware products at an affordable price. Only issue is that the shop is now two floors which does not help with social distancing. They need someone on the door at all times. I walked in and the queue was by the door where the entrance is. A member of staff could direct these customers to an alternative till. Customers were using the exit doors as entrances and visa versa. They need staff on those doors so social distancing can be maintained. I love shopping here but I did not feel comfortable on this occasion. Also a shame the cafe has gone.

Clothes, furniture and household items. Not a bad shop, picked up some branded Jean's and teeshirts at much lower price than other high street shops. Location is not bad. You have plenty of other shops in this shopping centre and parking is easy and cheap. Overall a nice shop with plenty of items on sale with reasonable prices. Will definitely shop again.

The store has been compacted down to two floors from three, which appears to have had an adverse effect on social distancing directions in store and product merchandising; a little more thought would reduce the confusion caused by these measures.Unfortunately, I was unable to find the 4.5 tog king size quilt that I was looking for; in addition there were no floor assistants to seek advice, thus leaving empty handed.

Good place for bedding, accessories. And decorative things like various pictures, flowers containers but my preference I wouldn't have the clothes unless it's one of underwear
