Had my haircut today at Madcaps. Amy cut my hair and I'm really pleased with it. More expensive that what I usually pay but well worth the extra. So glad I went there. I'll definately be returning. Thank you Amy.

AVOID!!! Would give zero stars if I could! Horrendous experience, previous high standards have severely dropped since new staff and management. New staff lack training, knowledge, manners, skill and basic human decency! Totally ignored what was asked for, treatment received was unacceptable and no exaggeration- disgusting! Salon has gone downhill since Leanne, Hannah and Chloe have all left. They haven’t got a clue what they are doing, and still try to charge ridiculous rates. £148 for block colour and shadow root… then messed up resulting in chemical burns, cuts from brush being dug into scalp when brushing, burn from hairdryer and not even looking anything like what was asked for! No apology after their mistakes and incompetence, and 8.5 hours of their rude behaviour and attitude. Oh and no money deducted as good will for their errors and additional pain, stress and unsatisfactory result! I could have chucked a box dye on and it would have looked better than what we ended up with, and it would have ended up being the colour asked for and wouldn’t get stains all over face, neck and ears. Professionals? Really? I think not! If considering using this salon, I would definitely avoid! Won’t ever be back!

Ella was very helpful during my consultation . Arranged my appointment with Ella . Had a colour , trim and blow dry with a treatment . Ella took her time , she did a wonderful job and consulted with me throughout . I felt relaxed and comfortable. Booked in again for December

DO NOT WAISTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! Awful experience here. Totally incompetent, unprofessional and rude. I had long, brown, vigin hair which I was promised, over and over again, is the best hair for colour. I was sat in that salon 6 and a half hours on the first visit to end up with the complete opposite of what I wanted. Did not listen to what I had asked for. Going back a SECOND time to correct their mistakes, again for another 6 hours, it ended up worse. Blamed everything including my hair for the bleach not working, expect for the horrible method it was applied. ( 3 times!!) The whole thing was rushed and sloppy; application of product, hair cut and styling at the end. I am now left with streaky, patchy and multi coloured yellow/ orange brassy hair that looks ridiculous and hideous. NOT A SINGLE APOLOGY!! I am devastated. If I could rate this lower I would.

I have been in the Port Talbot area for a couple of years and, until I went to Madcaps hadn't found a hairdresser I was happy with.Then I found Hannah and my first visit to Madcaps was fabulous.She listened to what I wanted and did a perfect colour for me, exactly what I asked for!I have just been back for my second appointment and still love the colouring, but found out she is also ugreat at cutting and styling too.It's a shame I will be moving about an hour away in a few months as it will mean a longer drive for my hair do, but I shall be coming back to Hannah as she is worth the commute! When you find a good hairdresser, you stick with them!
