A walk up to Macduff’s monument to enjoy the sunset is always worth the effort. The bench at the top allows you to recover whilst soaking up the views over Perth and Scone.

Did a round trip taking in macduff monument and the obelisk... Took about 90 minutes stopping frequently to admire the excellent views including Ben Ledi, Ben Vorlich, Schiehallion, Birnam Hill, Mount Blair, River Tay, East and West Lomond, Perth and Scone

Great view of Scone and Perth Airport. I've visited a few times on return walks between Perth and the Lynedoch Obelisk. Take a second (or third) layer if the weather may not be perfect because it can get cold and windy up there with no protection from the elements. There is a memorial seat to sit down on for a break just beside where my 1st photo was taken from.

Lovely circular walk from Scone's old parish church up MacDuff's...super views. Do make your way over to the obelisk as stunning views continue... can be a bit windy so hv a layer to put on if your stopping for a bit at the top.

MacDuff's Monument
The monument is a folly on the western slopes of Murrayshall Hill. The views from the monument are mainly to the west (North Perth, Scone & the Perthshire Highlands). Short walk to the Lynedoch Obelisk. Part of the Scone circular walk.
