Thimbles

I didn't know if they'd be able to do it but I needed the legs taken in on an expensive cycling skinsuit used for racing as they were constantly riding up during events. Took a week to get it back as they were clearing a backlog of alterations following closure due to the heavy snowfalls but I wasn't in any rush. Did a great job and legs now fit perfect and even charged less than expected. I'd certainly use them again without hesitation.

My wife had her dress altered at thimbles for our wedding in July of 2023. She attended 4 appointments where she was happy with the progress of the alterations. However, with the last appointment the dress was still far too big. The staff at thimbles told her that they were now too busy to have the dress taken in any further. They also told my wife that they would make her vail for her and 3 weeks before the wedding they then told us that they no longer could. My wife therefore had to order her vail online and have her dress altered last minute 1 day before our wedding. Within these last minute alterations else where they took 3 inches off the hips and 2 inches off of each shoulder. This is the most that they could achieve in such a short period of time.

Very friendly and professional service. Some issues came up with the dress on the day I was collecting and the owner went out of her way to ensure the work was completed before I left. Would highly recommend to anyone - just be sure to book in plenty of time as dresses are completed over 3 sessions to ensure everything is perfect. I will absolutely use this service if I need further alterations in future!

What a fantastic bunch off ladies , interested, kind ,caring and most importantly they are amazing at the work they do . I was only in for a cple of extra buttons on a shirt that I was desperate to get done right away , they couldn't have been more helpful. They do laundry also , give them a try you won't be disappointed

Had a bridesmaid dress took in from here and got told at first appointment they would hook the front where it wrapped at the chest. 2nd fitting was then told I would just need to pin it myself on the wedding day and that they wouldn’t of offered to hook it in the first place - even though it was their idea? Still needed shoulders took up and on the wedding day was falling about all over the place. Shocking service & weren’t friendly or comforting with the bridal party. Upon speaking to other people who have used in the past I’ve heard a lot of bad reviews since.

Absolutely amazing, I made an impromptu arrangement to have my trousers fixed and everything was done on the day Top marks!
