It is fairly large but well laid out. Directional signs show you the right way to go. The nurses I met were friendly. Parking as well as payment for this is easy..

Very poor follow up from the orthopaedic team. Twice I have had to chase up an appointment with fracture clinic both of which were overdue. Waited 4 weeks for a CT scan on my fractured wrist. The hospital letter sent me to the wrong department (ultrasound) for a CTscan. There was no one at reception to point me in the right direction and if i hadn’t have hounded down a member of staff to ask for directions, I would have missed my appointment. It is now 4 weeks since i last had my fractured wrist and elbow reviewed

Warrington hospital is a total disgrace. It's dirty, dreary. The staff and care you receive is so below standard, if you take a elderly loved one in to warrington hospital, heaven help them. They are left in a bed night and day, The staff that are there hardly bother with their care. The physio care is so inadequate. You never get to speak to a doctor. Ward A9 is a disgrace, the whole hospital is not fit for purpose. We have now moved my mum into a proper hospital where she is treated with care compassion and respect. Where the staff are pleasant and totally professional. Whiston did more for my mum in two hours than warrington did for her in three weeks.Well done Whiston and shame on you Warrington management. People of warrington should expect more for their town

Staff couldn't care less about their patients. Asked for painkillers 4 times over a 6 hour span and was given nothing. My list of reasonable adjustments, common for anyone on the Autistic Spectrum, was completely ignored, and when I made them aware of how distressed I'd become, 3 nurses effectively ganged up on me. Ended up leaving with no treatment or pain relief.

Need to put visiting hours up on website, if the hours change then you just change them on the website. It's ridiculous that you have to wait ages on the phone, just to find out visiting hours. Will save the nurses their valuable time in not having to answer these unnecessary phone calls!!!

Warrington a&e team were just fantastic. So lovely, caring and calm and on a Sunday afternoon. Nothing was too much trouble for the doctors that we saw. Huge thanks to the department's staff. Love our NHS. Thank you so much.

After speaking with reception about parking with a blue badge we were told our details had been registered and we did not need to pay.... Received a parking fine from Highview parking for not paying, thanks. If you cant even complete a simple for to exempt people from parking god only knows how you deal with the administration for something more important!

My little boy has croup and we went to the GP who prescribed some steroids however nowhere in Warrington stocked them. I rang the children’s A&E who were delighted to help. They advised me to bring my little boy over. When I got there the staff were really helpful and lovely. Annabelle looked after my son and he was triaged and seen within half an hour. Absolute incredible experience. Thank you so much to Annabelle and the doctor (I didn’t catch her name unfortunately) for taking care of my little one. X

What a state the NHS has got into due to political party meddling and too many examples of incompetent management. There's nothing to celebrate 75 years.Specifically, I was a recent emergency admission with a severe crush injury. And, full disclosure, I speak as a thankfully retired senior NHS consultant surgeon.Bodies stuffed into corridors behind A&E on trolleys. They put me on one that was not suitable for the X-ray department so had to be moved in great pain, really great pain onto an X-ray trolley.I was seen by the consultant once, and then for a few minutes pre-op whilst under the influence of morphine (that was me not the doctor). He didn't see his post-op patients at all, I was lucky to get the SHO who was a nice kind fellow but naturally way down the pecking order as he was just starting his career. I wouldn't have even dreamt of not seeing my post-op patients and explaining what I had done for them. This is now the 'bottom of the bucket OK standard for this 'consultant surgeon'. I have seen much better when doing charity work in so called third world countries (Indian state run hospitals). The nurses were on the whole competent but suffered from short staffing and very poor leadership and management. It was as though they had say three tasks to perform for a patient. They would get through two then remember the one outstanding task from the previous patient before being interrupted with something more to do. No wonder things didn't get completed properly. And finally when discharged it took a whole morning to get the 'authority' due to a complete lack of communication. I was even offered by one nurse to take responsibility for my own discharge as this would be quicker. A last kick in the derriere was no porter to get me in a wheelchair from ward to carpark (a carpark with only 30 min wait before levying a moneymaking fine). My wife was well pi$$ed off.
