LV repairs and servicing

Brilliant garage fitted me in at short notice carried out a service, changed brake pads and put new bearing in the back wheel very fair price. Will use again. Recommend this garage that I found by accident. I am glad I did.

Entrusted Maris (the owner) with a fairly big project for my pride and joy, which entailed fitting a built bottom end of the engine to my existing head. Started off quite well, I got the parts he needed to rebuild the top end and he got started. Seemed to go well. He had the top end rebuilt and assembled everything together into my car. It took quite a while but that's not the end of the world.He said it was ready - I paid him and drove off. 10 minutes later the gear shifter cables came loose and I was stranded on the road. Luckily had a friend able to tighten the appropriate bolts. This was the first red flag when he hadn't tightened crucial components.Time goes on, I book my car in for tuning. Waited 1 month for that. Arrive to my tuning place, only to find the engine wasn't performing properly. My tuner discovered that there was an issue with the top end (head) of the engine. Have to pay £200 for the wasted tuning session, and I have to send it back to Maris as the top end has to be repaired and rebuilt again due to his error.He refuses to take responsibility for the error he made and even tries to pin the blame on me! Even though there was proof of what went wrong, and he was the only one that touched the head, so he should have no excuse. He doesn't care, he just started ignoring my messages. This careless attitude doesn't surprise me as this is the way he portrayed himself from start to finish of this process.I had to travel multiple times to get the parts he needed to fix the mistake that he made. He sorted it, told me it was ready. Charged me £90 labour, even though it was his fault.20 minutes later the throttle cable had failed. Why? Because he installed the throttle cable over a burning hot manifold, so it chewed through the cable. Did he take responsibility for this? No. My fault again I suppose, as I've had to pay for his incompetence. Furthermore the fuel pressure regulator was plumbed to nothing, rocker cover bolt left snapped and clutch cable also resting on burning hot parts. I wish I was making this upDo not trust him for anything remotely complicated, as he doesn't actually take any pride in the work he does, nor care about the customer. Disgusting attitude and zero passion for what he does. He took me for a mug from start to finish. Deserves to be shut down

The mechanic picked my car up and got it to the garage . He managed to get my car repaired within half a day new clutch, fly wheel and crankshaft seals. The best quote out there . Absolutely amazing service and would highly recommend to others. Thank you again. And I'll definitely return in the future (hopefully not anytime soon)

best garage in derby. No job too big or too small and really really good value. Did the suspension in my 1 series and gearbox on my Citroen both within a day for a very good price, also fit me in with short notice. Keep it up team @ LV❤️

Perfect Job. All my cars just get fixed there

I really liked Maris service untill his colleague took a job.It was Filter housing seal replacement on Mercedes E250.I left the car to replace the seals and when it was done he told me that one seal was missing so he fit random o-ring seal (didn't even asked if I'm ok with that)After couple weeks we found oil leak again from filter housing.Tryed to book service again to replace the seals but get a space after couple weeks and it's should be for free as verbal warranty given.Service booked 9:30, but then I went there They were already busy with other cars, I left the car 10:30 and asked him to call me when will be ready. I call myself back 13:30 and been told that my car not even started so I took my car and never will back to this person.
