Rufflets St Andrews

My husband and I stayed at Rufflets May 10th of this year while on a private Outlander Tour. We stayed in the Turret Room which was magical. The room was beautifully furnished with a balcony for sitting off the room with outstanding views of the grounds. They were breathtaking. Rufflets is a beautiful place (inside and out). We only had breakfast the next morning before heading off to our next days travels and I'm sorry that we only had one night to stay as I would have liked to have been able to enjoy the grounds and amenities more. I'd definitely stay here again.

Sunday lunch is an experience to look forward too. We've been here many times. The food is delicious, the staff are superb.On our last meal there the dining room was very busy. There was also a wedding being held in the gardens.For some reason the management have removed the soft floor coverings in the dining room.This meant because most of the tables were full, the noise of lively chatter bounced all round the dining room rendering conversation difficult in the booths.I've never encountered this problem before. But post meal we adjourned to a sitting room and had coffee.Despite being a very busy hotel on a beautiful day, the staff kept all parties happy.My only concern is due to acoustics in the dining room on this very busy day, I found it impossible to hold a conversation without raising my voice.Amazing what a carpet does!I will return but not on a busy day.

We booked Rufflets last minute as I needed to travel to St Andrews for work but decided to make it a cheeky get away with the dog. We booked one of their dog friendly rooms (£10 extra) which was absolutely lovely. Living room, huge bathroom & the comfiest hotel bed I’ve stayed in for a long time. We arrived quite late (around 9pm) and were greeted by a lovely friend member of staff who checked us in & took us to our room.We had breakfast the next morning in the restaurant (you can dine in room or in the bar with your dog) which included eggs from Rufflets own chickens, they were lovely! Cold breakfast options are also available. We then took the dog for a little stroll around the gardens before I headed off to work.I would have happily stayed another night and may well return in two weeks when I’m back in the area again for work.

Lovely hotel set in beautiful gardens. Service is excellent, as is the food.

only here for a works conference nice location, 2x wash hand basins not working in male toilet and didn't appear to be any hot water. conference room was quite warm . coffee , sandwich buffet and cake was ok.

Just popped in for a bite to eat on the way to St Andrews. This is a lovely little hotel bar with delightful views of the garden. A little oasis of peace.

Lovely and quiet location, friendly and helpful staff, gate house room ideal for the dog. Varied from tasty menu. Would recommend

I would like to thank Pippa & her team for our very enjoyable stay . Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The location is so peaceful and within easy reach of St Andrews. We decided to eat in the bar , my wife wasn't in the mood for the a la carte menu. The bar is cozy , the food was superb and presentation of the fish and chips was very unique.Thank You again ;-)

Attended a wedding here last weekend and it was a stunning venue. Staff couldn’t do enough for you either, their customer service was amazing.Compliments to the chef as the food was exceptional, I really enjoyed my vegetarian options!

Was here for a tasting session re our daughter's upcoming marriage. Beautiful tasty sample meal, great service and lovely surroundings. Looking forward to the big day.
