Mel did a stunning job of all of the flowers for our wedding. She was open to new and unusual ideas, and was really accommodating when we changed our venue and that altered what we needed for the day. Our bouquets were beautiful, and I love that she uses local Scottish flowers wherever possible (most of which she grows in her own garden!). Our aisle decor was a total hit, and overall I am so grateful for everything she did. Thanks so much Mel!

Mel created the most beautiful bouquets for our wedding. Loads of texture and colour, they were perfect and exactly the relaxed feel we were after. I was recommended briar rose by a friend and would absolutely recommend to others (already have!). No stress involved, I gave a colour scheme and mel did the rest. We got married on the 9/9/23 and used Mel for our florals. Wow! She did not disappoint. I found the process of wedding design stressful as you are putting your trust into the process and hope it all comes together as you imagine. All I can say is Mel gets it. She totally understood what I wanted and it looked stunning. She is a delight to work with, couldn’t recommend more!

We don't know how to even start to express our love for what Mel prepared for our wedding! Everything looked absolutely INCREDIBLE!We really liked the idea that everything was locally grown and in keeping with the autumn season that had had chosen to get married in. The bouquet, button holes and hair flowers were just absolutely beautiful. I had asked for a small simple bouquet as my dress was pattered and what Mel gave me was perfect. The venue decoration was so special, it really blew us away. All of our guests commented on the flowers and hanging decor, saying the place looked magical....what more could you ask for!Mel knew exactly what we wanted and totally got that we were having a small intimate wedding at short notice. She was very helpful with breaking the package into different budget options which we really appreciated. Mel was amazing from start to finish and made all of our flower/greenery dreams come true for our wedding! We knew we wanted bright, joyful colors for the flowers and Mel absolutely delivered. I also had my heart set on greenery hoops for a woodlands feel in the dining area, and Mel worked with us to make it happen within our budget, with absolutely stunning massive, branchy hoops + hanging baubles above our top table. All of our guests commented that the day was magical, and I know that’s in large part to the amazing job that Mel did. We don’t know much about flowers, and somehow Mel was able to take the things we said and use her talent to make everything we had dreamed of a reality. I’ve sent my bouquet for petal preservation to make an art piece with, so Mel’s bouquet will be on our wall forever, and I can’t wait. We wholeheartedly recommend Briar Rose Design. Melanie at Briar Rose Design is absolutely fantastic and such a talented florist! She did our wedding flowers and was brilliant at putting together something to suit our style and venue while incorporating my favourite blooms. The flowers were in excellent condition and smelled fantastic all day. I would absolutely recommend Melanie to anyone!

Mel did the flowers for my wedding and they were STUNNING. I had asked from bold colours for the bouquets and they were amazing - honestly better than I could have imagined. The flowers for our wedding breakfast were also beautiful. Mel was really easy to work with and I would definitely recommend her to others!

Melanie was an absolute dream to deal with from start to finish! Loved catching up with her & sharing inspiration with ahead of our big day.Our flowers on the day were just beautiful & exactly what I had envisioned (yet somehow even better than I could've ever imagined). So many people have also commented on how gorgeous they smelt, too.Melanie is absolutely wonderful at what she does & I can't recommend her enough.

Its hard to put into words Mel's work. It was everything I had hoped for and more on the day of my wedding. Everything I had asked for and more was delivered on the day. You can tell Mel really takes great pride and care in her work. The flowers in every part of our wedding was just perfect!I knew when we got married I didn't want the usual bridal bouquet or standard flower set up everyone goes for. I specifically wanted Scottish seasonal wild flowers that were bright. Due to us getting married in a Walled Garden our venue could do most of the talking but flowers were still a big part of the day.We asked Mel to help create flowers as centrepieces for the tables, bouquets and buttonholes. With also a special flowers on our wee dog's harness.Mel provided all of this and helped to reassure a worried bride that everything would be fine on the day.My maid of honour said I was one of the few brides who didnt have any idea what her flowers would look like and she was right but its what made it even more special on the day.Mel was a professional throughout the whole experience. From our initial zoom call to meeting her on the day in person. She was happy, bubbly, courteous and kind.
