The Engine Room

I been a member of various gyms... and this gym by far is the worst for customer service. I was told about the cancellation by a member of there trained " staff whose missus informed me completely. Very highly disappointed. I don't normally write a bad review but I think I have to to make people aware of these cowboys . They may seem nice to begin with but when you question why there staff is giving wrong information they get very arrogant. The lady on the phone just put the phone down on me. I will be telling all my gym friends about this on social media face book etc... the fact remains it's the principal that you don't be deceitful to a customer just to get them to sign up. Overall very unprofessional and untrained staff. Management is no help either"

I am not a member but I have PT sessions with Julie, Now I have also started Spin Classes with Julie on Mondays - Our sessions are bespoke and worth every penny. Thank you Julie

Staff with no courtesy . Just joined and will be leaving soon.Lighting during the afternoon off.Blinds closed when light outside.Rusty machines, with nobody cleaning them.Staff unhelpful!!!Woman / men sauna days.Kids running aroundAnd really really disappointed with opening hours. Open at 9am weekdays and shut at 1pmWkendsIf your looking to get fit either have a jog around the park or join the 24hr gyms which charge far less and are at least clean.

Friendly staff and crowd. Sufficient range of equipment available in good condition. Not crowded in the early afternoon.

The engine room is a great gym. I particularly enjoy lift and tone with Teresa and Thursday morning yoga with Anne ! Staff are so friendly and I really like coming here.

I was carrying out some electrical works but I enjoyed the experience and the gym looked well kitted out.

Small village gym with a sauna only available for men on tuesdays and thursdays, i disagree with this as the majority of its members are male. The weights room is always cramped as it is small and untidy with weights all over the floor, this gym is good for a beginner.

Friendly, helpful staff. Knwldegeable trainer RE: helping getting into shape & weight loss. Only downside is no swimming pool, but its close to home & has what i need - Cardio / weights & classes, other members are friendly as well, when i first started I wasnt very confident, but now know most of the regulars juat to say Hi to, and most of the regulars will help or show you a piece of equipment if the staff are busy, my confidence has grown since coming here, which is a good thing (As well as losing weight & getting into Shape :-))

Fab friendly gym, variety of classes, weekend gym closes too early at 1pm. Longer weekend opening hours needed.
