Braced for Scoliosis ltd

Sally currently braces our two daughters for their scoliosis. Having previously used LOC we feel that Sally's wealth of experience and knowledge with the Gensingham brace is what we really wanted and are so happy to now be working with her. Our daughter, Georgia, has had scoliosis from the age of 6 and has worn a back brace pretty much 24/7 ever since then, successfully avoiding surgery. Sally has taken care of Georgia’s bracing for the past few years and not only cares for her physical well-being but critically also her emotional well-being. Sally understands how difficult it is for a child and then a teenager to have to wear a bulky brace, day and night, which can be uncomfortable and sometimes painful, as well as the psychological challenges that come with that. Sally is super efficient, professional and an expert at what she does, as well as caring. My mother who is 75 and has thoracic kyphoscoliosis, went to see Sally recently, all the way from Scotland. Sally has given her a back support brace which has helped enormously to keep her upright. She also recommended a figure of eight back corrector which has been of great use as well. Sally was a delight to work with and is hugely knowledgeable and we can highly recommend her.

I met Sally and Debbie in 2017. My daughter had just been diagnosed with scoliosis and the consultant had told us that the only way forward was to have an operation once the curvature had reached 50 degrees. I went on the internet and started looking for alternatives. After a long search, I found Deborah Turnbull's phone number. I knew she was the real deal as I was a picture of her with Dr Weiss. I always admired the work of Katharina Schroth and I did read about Dr Weiss, the Gensingen brace, and the Schroth Therapy. Deborah had trained with Dr Hans-Rudolf Weissand she was fully qualified in Schroth. I phoned her late at night and she replied almost instantly. She introduced me to Sally Hews. My daughter got a Gensingen brace and started Schroth therapy. At the beginning of the treatment, my daughter's curve was 40 degrees and her rotation was 17 degrees. After 3 months the curve had gone down to 32 degrees and her rotation was 5. My daughter is now 18 and out of the brace. Her curve is nearly invisible from the back, her rotation is back to normal, and the scapula does not stick out anymore. The consultant has said that she does not need the operation after all. She still does Schroth for her rotation sometimes with Debbie. Thanks to these two fantastic ladies my daughter has a normal life. They started the treatment quickly and early, with scoliosis this is the most important thing. We were told to wait and see by the consultant, but this is the worst thing with scoliosis as it deteriorates quickly. The gensingen brace works and contrary to other braces, it does correct the curve. The gensingen brace and the Schroth therapy are fantastic and I do not doubt recomending this to other parents looking for something different and less scary from what is offered on the NHS. It is a long journey and not always easy but it does pay off in the end. Thank you, Sally and Debbie, you are fantastic and I cannot thank you enough.

We have been seeing Sally since 2019, firstly at her previous company and now independently. We moved with her as she's amazing and we trust her. Our daughter's know her since she was 5 and we believe this consistency is important. I would highly recommend Sally and also the Gensingen brace. We're having amazing results and are hoping to avoid spinal fusion surgery.
