I was referred to optegra from a routine eye test suggesting possible cataracts needing to be treated. I can't fault the service by either boots for the referral or the treatment i received. The initial reception was excellent and the investigation stared exactly on time, with respect and care! I then went on to see the consultant who completed his examination, he then went on to say and explain that while I'd got some small signs of cataracts at my age it was not bad and in summary my eyesight was good. He went on time explaining any potential surgery options but thought any benefit would be marginal and in his opinion the risk reward would would be poor. Personally I can't fault the service and the time taken to explain the options concluding if there was a change the options could be reinvestigated.A great service, can't fault them. Thanks

Integra lasik eye surgery. 5 star everything. I checked out a number of options before using Optegra and it knocked spots off all others. Clean, friendly, professional, transparent, excellent aftercare, all at a reasonable price. Best money I ever spent, life-changing.

Had an initial (free) appointment at Optegra on 7/7/2018 to find out more about my options in regards to eye correction and elimination of a slight squint. Had a number of tests carried out (eye pressure, prescription etc) and then had a discussion with a consultant. All stages of the appointment were clearly explained. I was, unfortunately, told that none of Optegra's services would be suitable for my eye condition therefore I am not viable for eye correction. However, since my issue isn't actually do with my poor vision and having to wear glasses (my issue is with my slight squint) the consultant was able to provide me with examples of other places that offer eye surgery. The consultant (I think his name was Sam...) did not try to persuade me to take any of the services available at Optegra and clearly had my best interests at heart. While I left not being able to take advantage of any of their services, the advice they provided me with and the fact that they did not try to force me to agree to anything was absolutely refreshing. The high street names such as Optimax and Optilase have not stopped contacting me since I shallowly enquired.

I write this on behalf of my wife Diane, she was absolutely terrified when she went to have her cataracts removed by Optegra. They put her at ease by explaining fully about the procedure that was due to be undertaken. The operation felt little more than a straightforward visit to her GP. From the staff who welcomed her, through the nurses who applied the drops, to the surgeon who undertook the operation, without exception, everyone was kind, supportive and put her totally at ease. As her carer I can say that even the waiting experience was made easy and I was kept fully informed of her progress, and the likely completion time, I would, and have, happily recommend their service
