A wonderful place.All the toys of the things you loved as a kid are here. From action figures to dolls, bikes and video games, and so on. It's a dreamland for all children. Bright colours and joy for all.This is the first place I come to buy toys for my nieces and they love them.The store is big and it is well maintained. The place is neat and tidy. So well done to the team.The staff are very friendly, polite, and cheerful. I came to the Friern Barnet store on Monday evening to benefit from the Black Friday/ Cyber Monday promotion and had a pretty good experience. The reason I gave one star in this review is the appalling treatment I received from the store manager. Basically, the store is located in a very large retail park with a seemingly free parking facility. It turns out that strangely it won’t allow parking from 9pm and a week later I got a parking ticket. I’ve called the store and asked to speak to the store manager to find out how come you can’t park when it still business hours (store is open until 10pm). He informed me that his responsibility start and end at the shop floor, which I get. I’ve asked for some help in getting to the right channel but he was nothing but plain rude with no slight sympathy to a customer who spent a lot of money in the store. When I asked for his name he refused disclosing it. Experiences like these just show you why high street retail is suffering so much. No one need to feel this way. Next time online shopping for me. Certainly not at Smiths.

Me, my husband and our little baby girl went to the store today to look for stroller and car seat. The car seat especially was really important as our LO outgrown hers.I must say we had one of the best shopping experiences in a while. And that was thanks to Tracy who was on our arrival right in the buggy's area.I always hated shop assistants being too pushy or on the other hand too chill to even bother to serve you. However Tracy was so amazing and really known her stuff. She stood back while we were browsing and once she saw we are at a loss she happily approached us and begun to answer all our questions while showing us possible products. I am ever so indecisive so I needed some time to see everything . At one point she told us..ok, I leave you to it..me thinking she is going to see other customers. However she only went to the side giving us space to talk about our possibilities etc. When we found what we wanted she showed us how to use it ( car seat) ,different setting on it, helped us try it out and last but not least she even helped me to figure out where to breastfeed my child as she started to be quite restless. I think every store should have a Tracy" shop assistant working on the floor. Well

I have visited today Friern Barnet store and I was extremely disappointed with the service. My kids have chosen Lego presents as my son birthday is today and my daughters tmrw. When I tried to pay on the till, the item was £69.99 but I was asked to pay £129.99. I have informed the staff and I have asked for Managers help and explained it’s my son birthday, only to be told NO I cant help you. He showed absolutely not interested what I was saying. No apologies. No help. Very poor service. I left the store with no presents and both kids crying as I couldn’t afford for that price.Very disappointing and it’s misleading.

I have visited this branch with my daughter. I have bought a toy and I came back after 10 minutes I forgot to bring the receipt but the toy didn’t work correctly, I was about to change it but the staff started to argue with me and they don’t want to change it for me and he started to told me go out from the shop and my daughter started to feel frustrated she is just 7 years old the guy make her upset! The surprise thing is the store manager came afterward and instead of saying sorry he defenced from his staff , this kind of behaviour shows inexperienced manager !!! Avoid this store.
