A great shopping experience, I learnt so much about violins. My son went over budget but was well advised. I would not go anywhere else, high street stores could not compete with this gentleman's knowledge and service.

Simon has attended to my violins over the past ten years. His knowledge, and set-up ability, to get the best out of each instrument has proved itself each time. He understands what I am looking for and offers sound advice. The outcome is always equal to, or better than, my expectations. Others (two) have set-up my violins in the past, but there is no comparison and I will always go to Simon now. I have also purchased a violin (and bow) from Simon which were well worth the expenditure. Any negative review can be taken with a pinch of salt. Thank you Simon! :)

I have known Simon for over 20 years. He is an excellent craftsman. He is a fine string player and musician who brings all these qualities together to produce excellent instruments. His advice is always candid and accurate. I would recommend him to all string players for the way in which he can optimise the performance of the instruments that he works on.
