Camel's Sheesha @ Revolution Ipswich
I was at revolutions on Thursday evening at decided to purchase a sheesha for me and my friends. Unfortunately after a few drinks the Sheesha was accidentally knocked off the table by someone knocking the foot of our table. The man who was working on the sheesha bar got very agitated and ordered I pay a fee for the broken sheesha. I apologised tremendously for this mistake and agreed to pay a fee of £20 for the accident. The man insisted that each sheesha costs £50 to replace and if I did not pay then the police would be called. Me being a little tipsy after the drinks and someone who had never been in trouble with the police I felt I was in a difficult position and felt very threatened as he has called the bouncers over as well. It was a friends birthday night out and I didn’t want any one getting into trouble or any more aggravation caused. I ended up paying the £50 fee purely because I wasn’t thinking due to having a few drinks. Had I have been sober I would have let them call the police as I’m certain they wouldn’t have done anything. It was an accident and places like this should understand that these things are going to happen. I’m absolutely disgusted that they take advantage of drunk young women and scare them when they are clearly not in a state to think properly. I have contacted Revs about this however I’ve now understood that this is a separate company and the manager of revolutions has agreed that £50 is too steep. My thought process is that this man was having a slow night and wanted to make some quick money.
