I don’t typically leave less than positive reviews, but this was not a good stay unfortunately.Myself and a friend booked for two nights so that we could come to Southampton for a friends wedding (very exciting, lovely wedding!) and arrived just after 3pm on Friday after a long day of travel due to the storm. We were greeted by a really lovely receptionist who let us know that we’d parked the car in the cruise parking area and we could move to the other car park shortly- no problem, although the car park we’d gone to initially was very tight and not marked to suggest that it was for cruises only. Never mind! We moved the car to the other car park (very tight, triple parked in some parts) and parked as instructed behind a car marked with a yellow ribbon, which denoted they were away on a cruise at the time. We were then provided our room key which was to a quite tired ground floor room, where unfortunately the bathroom smelled of urine. After a bit of consideration, we decided to mention this at the front desk and were promptly allocated a new room- great service on that part. We unpacked in our new room (which was still a bit tired, flat pillows and the mattress could have used a topper, and the shower unfortunately was broken so couldn’t be height adjusted on the the pole, so it was underwater morning yoga to rinse hair!). Enjoyed the breakfast, and left for the wedding. Arrived back after midnight to be told that I needed to move my car again as it was blocking in the vehicle I had been told I could park behind, by 7am that morning. I therefore woke at 6 to move my car, and was guided to a spot against the wall by the other receptionist who was kind enough to come and show me where to re-park (third time lucky surely!). I returned to bed as at this time I had less than 5 hours rest and had a long journey upcountry again. At 8:40am our room phone rang and I was told bluntly that my car was blocking another person. I thought it must be a joke but sure enough, an enormous BMW 4x4 found they couldn’t quite figure a way around my small car. I moved my car for the fourth time (back to the original spot from earlier that morning!) and we prepared to leave after breakfast. If it hadn’t been for the farce of parking, I would have given this hotel a much better review- tired rooms are fine when it’s just somewhere to lay your head, but the situation was so frustrating and left me without a good nights sleep before a long journey. Two out of five stars- much better co ordination needed for the small space if you’re going to offer cruise parking and not prioritise guests staying in the hotel.

Absolutely abysmal experience.I booked a night at the hotel for myself and 2 friends to see family. We were refused our stay after travelling 4 hours as they would not take cash or credit card as a form of payment. Bare in mind had already paid for the room, cleaning fee and security deposit. So this was a second deposit of £150 upon arrival. The female at reception was really nice and said, this had never happened before and even admitted it was unjust. We were treated horrifically over the phone by a female in management linked to the hotel, and we would not recommend this to anyone.Hotel seemed decent online, but the management and ethics is not worth the hassle.

The room was very basic and made me feel that I had a disability. The toilet h/was a Hi-rise" toilet and there were more safety "Grab-handles" in the bathroom than anything else. It was also a wet room with a very small sink. No bath. The room consisted of an Uncomfortable double bed and there was also a single bed. The room was quite small.I dined in a restaurant nearby and returned to my room at about 19.00hrs. There was noise

Stayed one night before our cruise , lovely friendly welcome . Our room was very comfortable. Only one thing I couldn't find a hair dryer . We booked an evening and it was very nice a very reasonable price . Breakfast was Included in our booking price and that was plentiful. Tea and coffee as much as you liked . We parked our car for the duration of our cruise at the hotel which was easy to do . They arranged for a taxi to take us to the cruise terminal . I would definitely stay here again

Very nice welcome at check in at 3pm. Was going to have a cup of tea but only 1 tea bag in the room. Left for an appointment, on returning to the hotel at 10pm, I asked for more tea bags. We noticed hair's in the bath, not nice but easily washed away. On getting onto bed, the double bed was either broken or was about to break judging by the noise. All 6 pillows were flat and lumpy, it wasn't a restful sleep. We were incredibly tired and didn't mention anything at checkout but then we weren't asked if we enjoyed our stay. It was a simple check out to see we had paid, if we wanted a receipt, followed by a goodbye. All very pleasant, nothing wrong but then nothing nice either. Would we stay again, probably not given that there are so many others to choose from. All these issues can easily be rectified with just a bit more attention to detail.

Lovely hotel, very comfortable and sweet room. Staff are amazing and very friendly. Lovely to talk to. Had no problem asking for extras we may have needed, staff are helpful if you have any questions. Hotel is local to Southampton, can easy get into the town centre walking from the hotel.

Good hotel. Good for staying overnight with a dog. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff were helpful and attentive. Parking felt a bit cramped at times.

The best I can say about this place is it's ok. The main issue is that there is not enough parking. We got a space but ended up having to leave the car and get a bus into town because we didn't want to lose our space. This hotel offers cruise parking which is surprising given the lack of space. Breakfast was a false with people turning up outside their allotted time and still being allowed in. This meant we had to wait about 45 minutes to get a table. The room itself was OK but starting to get a bit tired.

What a super friendly hotel. If you need anything whilst you stay, ask reception, they will help you. My husband has a very bad back at the moment and they kindly allocated us a ground floor room on arrival. Very large triple room, with ensuite bathroom. A huge thank you to reception for their happy, smiley very helpful approach.Very refreshing spar smelling bathroom soap, white large fluffy towels. TV, basic tea/coffee facilities. We didn't have breakfast as we'd originally thought we might, as a local friend asked us to join them in town instead (but we had originally planned to do so as the reviews looked great).Car parking facilities excellent. Ask for details of you are going on a cruise - send like they have lots of cruise guests who stay. There was a small bit of plastic which needs replacing at the end of the bath and a little bit of grout which needs a touch up, otherwise bath/shower were great - good pressure and lots of hot water.I dropped something and had to look under the bed to find it (housekeeping may want to look under the bed too as Mr vacuum cleaner has missed quite a lot... but don't let this put you off because the rest of the room appeared lovely and clean).Exceptionally good location. Easy, regular busses into town and back.Would recommend.

I think I had a visit from a ghost around 3amDecember 14 2023. I could not sleep so I lay there with my eyes closed. I opened my eyes and the room started glowing in a foggy white light. It became bright enough that it bounced off the mirror and lit the opposite wall. It lasted for about 10 seconds. After that I smelled tobacco burning until I finally fell asleep around 4am. Room # 2. I was scared
