Big Yellow in Byfleet were brilliant – helpful, friendly and full of advice on what would best serve my needs. And very quick to respond to my initial, online enquiry, too. Ellie, the assistant store manager, walked and talked me through the whole process, making everything as simple as could be, and made it very clear that she and her colleagues were always there to help with any query or problem (as this was my fist experience of using a storage unit, that was hugely reassuring). The units are clean and tidy and the whole operation in Byfleet runs like clockwork. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Avoid this place if you’re a lone woman.In February was quoted £45 per month for 2 months. On checking was told by absolute creep that my address was near a girl he had “got with” whom it turned out I knew which was completely inappropriate and made me uncomfortable.On paying it was £150 for two months he said because of insurance but I felt so uncomfortable and intimidated I just left.I’ve never returned. The payments increased to £90 a month after the 50% offer so why I was charged £75 I still don’t understand.This month I gave notice as I can’t afford it anymore at over £100 a month. I also explained my mum was very unwell just diagnosed with cancer and could they not call I’d be in as soon as I could. Well the aggressive threatening calls made me ill. I was under a psychiatrist due to severe depression couldn’t leave the house and was receiving so many emails and calls threatening to sell my stuff even though they were aware I was mentally unwell and being treated by a consultant for suicidal thoughts. Even calling when my mum was in with a cancer surgeon. It was so intimidating especially when a person is so unwell they are being treated for severe mental illness and cannot cope with life. No understanding whatsoever.I contacted customer service and the area manager was due to contact me but passed it back to the very man who had been calling and emailing me. Lee Madigan also refused to address my concerns about being intimidated by his colleagues inappropriate behaviour in writing and said I HAD to go in.I am sure they wouldn’t treat men like this.I don’t need to hear about their sex lives as I go there alone, and I certainly don’t need to be bullied as I struggle with my mums illness and my own strugglesAvoid!!!!

I cannot thank Big Yellow at Byfleet enough for their unbelievable customer service and assistance recently. I was emotionally exhausted and stressed about having to store my personal goods after life circumstances went against me. They could not have made it easier and were incredibly calm and informative. Having searched the market - the choice was made due to the warmth of attitude and the negotiation of the best price - this was down to Ellie, the new Assistant Store Manager. Her colleagues - Lee (Manager) and Ollie (Sales Advisor) were also lovely and friendly with copious amounts of coffee being made! Thanks to all for your amazing service! Angela
