Loved our stay here. If you want to really relax and get away from the world then this is the place to go. Will definitely be coming back! Only one slight negative comment I would say is the wait on food if you're having delivery , as other reviews state however it is to be expected so as long as you don't mind waiting a little while extra you'll be fine(the food was worth the wait ) ☺️

Last minute decision to come here, with discounted price too. Very clean lodge. Cute welcome packs with some dishwasher tabs and cloths.Hot tub was super, and the daily checks were really reassuring.Heard a tawny owl in the woods and the buzzard flew pretty low. Lovely tree creeper and nut hatches, as well as the bravest squirrels I've met yet.Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.Thanks for a lovely stay

A great place for a family holiday. Spacious and comfortable cabins, well equipped too. The hot tub was a big success. The staff were very helpful and tge food in the Retreat was very good. We hope to be back soon.

We spent 4 nights here over half term. It was our 2nd visit to a forest holidays site. The cabin was excellent, in good condition and well equipped. The food from the cafe/restaurant was surprisingly very good quality, we had breakfast most days and had 2 evening meals delivered to our cabin. We did 2 of the activities, archery and the nocturnal walk. I would recommend both, archery was very well run and you got a full 1.5 hour session and the nocturnal walk was also a great experience, it was late at night so completely dark, our guide was very insightful and he even bought along his (rescue) pet barn owl for a walk which the younger children loved to be able to hold him.

A great escape into nature, with modern comforts! We had a lovely mini break with some great activities. Special shout out to ranger Gerry, who led the fun archery session and took us on a fascinating forest night walk, accompanied by his beautiful tame owl, Professor!

In my experience, the site, staff, accommodation and general running of the park was top notch! I had a really friendly encounter when checking in with the team and they were really efficient in getting me my keys and giving me pointers on the site. The cabin itself was lovely, clean, tidy, modern and very open and airy. The tv was really useful having all the info about wifi, extra packages, events and site info. The kitchen had all the utensils I could possibly need which isn’t something I’ve found in other places. The bed was comfy, sheets were clean and over all, the cabin was just very well laid out and presented. I know I visited out of season but I can’t believe how much I got for how little I paid! I would say the premium wifi/entertainment package is a bit steep but once you’re on it, the internet speed and usage is very good. Over all my experience was really positive and will definitely book with this company again.

Currently on holiday here at Forest Holidays, Forest of Dean. We came with our dog to get away from fireworks. It is a wonderful place, with friendly staff and great accommodation in a beautiful setting. Spotlessly clean and well maintained. The Hot tub has been wonderful, just right for relaxing. The log burner in the cabin makes for cosy nights in. This is our second year here, and will certainly be back next year.

It is a wonderful place if you are looking for peace and unwinding in either a stay alone, a couple weekend away, or a friends and family reunion. You can also book fantastic massage/facial/reflexology treatments in your cabins and then have a hot tube or a nice long walk into the forest.

This stay was absolutely fantastic. The place to go for a bit of tranquillity and greenery. There are some lovely walks nearby, and even in the rain, it is scenic. Takeaways are available, but it's a bit pricey, although really nice. I am very happy with customer service, and I loved the hot tub - peaceful and beautiful.
