Hotel du Vin Glasgow

Luxury price. Luxury property. Terrible staff and procedures. Double billed- scam. Couldn’t eat dinner because of a private function, we were sent down the street. Tried to see if we could use the bar to eat but it was packed with guests. No staff even asked us if they could help.We had the best suite they offer and couldn’t get help with our bags to the curb or dine in our hotel. I don’t mind paying for quality. It’s not offered here. Scott and Oksana are the only two that salvaged our stay. Go to a Ritz.Skye, I am embarrassed for you and your reply. Your excuses lack proper customer service etiquette and accuracy.We were merely doing a last minute check of the room for belongings and could not have been 30 seconds behind the gentlemen taking our bags. He obviously had somewhere else to go. I took the bags to the curb myself by the time he returned. That in no way should be acceptable to your management team.At any hotel it is proper to forewarn the guests that a group function will dominate the dining room and guests will not have access to the dining room unless they have a reservation. We showed up at 5pm and were offered an 8:45pm following the private function that took precedence.Pro tip: graciously apologize to guests when they had issues. Your reply is unbecoming of the stately property and what you aspire to be. You’ve fallen short and admit it. Don’t make excuses!

I stay locally so I refer to the bar and restaurant here. The service is utterly impeccable and flawless. The barkeep Oksy has given us the greatest attention I have found in any place in Glasgow by far. She is swift with the menus and snacks. She is welcoming and she always serves drinks in the condition they deserve. The ambience is always relaxed and welcoming. The fire is often on to keep you cosy and the place is always vibrant without being overcrowded. Commendations to the management but especially to Oksy who still remembers your preferences even if you've not been in three months.

Stayed here over the weekend for my 18th birthday, Junior suite was absolutely stunning and the staff were helpful and all lovely. Was left a nice happy birthday chocolate on the table on my arrival. Breakfast was fantastic also.Bit of a walk down Great Western road but that was to be expected.Will definitely be back!

The staff at the bar and restaurant really make the hotel.The rooms are starting to look a little tired but extremely comfortable beds and clean rooms.The restaurant has a good menu, but the cooks seem to have an unfortunate habit of over-cooking anything with meat in it.

Just a quick review to say that we had a hiccup with a booking a few weeks ago and were very disappointed at the time.The way this was handled by the Glasgow Hotel (particularly David Barkley) was fantastic and very impressive and I would consider staying again as a result.Clearly customer service is taken very seriously.

I spent an enchanted day at this exceptionally beautiful hotel. I did not manage to savour the menu they are famous for yet, but will do so in due course. The young lady managing the bar on the day was a breath of fresh air. She hails from Estonia and spoke both Russian and English beautifully. What a charm! Well done on finding this Gem Du Vin! I went in for a breather and a cappuccino... and ended up chilling for a few hours. Thank you for not kicking me out! A true find!

We had our wedding here on Friday and can’t recommend it enough! The staff were absolutely incredible and nothing was ever too much to ask. We had the best day of our lives and would highly recommend it as a wedding venue anyone! Big shout out to Stacey our wedding coordinator and also Chris and the rest of the staff for the coordination on the day. The best time ever!

We come here every year for our anniversary. Most beautiful and romantic hotel in Glasgow... probably in the whole of Scotland. Rooms and service is unmatched :)

Great venue. Friendly and helpful employees. Amazing junior suite room facilities. Clean through out rooms, bar, reception, facilities, restaurant, and shared areas.Comfortable bed. Bathroom supplies are useful.Extremely luxurious.Celebrated my birthday and was greeted with a very kind plate with some chocolates.Bar staff were extremely welcoming and created a special cocktail with my favourite flavours.
