Could not recommend Beat It Music and Martin Smith more highly! Martin teaches both my sons and tailors his lessons to their very different learning styles. The lessons are fun and take in to account the boys’ own music interests. He is extremely encouraging and you can see how much enjoyment he gets from the students development and progression. This has such a positive effect on the children’s learning experience. My kids love it here!

Martin is teaching my son the drums and he is an incredible teacher. My son is only 6 and he is learning so quickly from Martin.Martin is patient, fun and consistent which means that the learning is enjoyable and effective.I would highly recommend Martin as a music teacher. He is by far the best around!

Martin teaches my seven year old son drumming lessons. He puts a lot of knowledge and years of experience into his lessons.As a teacher he is excellent with him as he can turn off his ears sometimes and not listen, but Martin has patience and knows exactly what to say to him.My son looks forward to every weekly lesson! And he's progressed so much. Can't recommend Martin enough.

Martin has been teaching my son drums for some time now, he is excellent at engaging with my son and making lessons interesting. My son enjoys attending lessons and his skills are improving week on week.

Martin taught me drums since I was 10 and I’m now an adult. He kept me engaged in every lesson, allowed me to achieve my best and made it fun. Because of that I was able to achieve a merit in my grade 8 drum exam and I am forever grateful. I would recommend him to anyone who wishes to start drum lessons, you won’t regret it.

My youngest son wanted to learn to play the drums and we were recommended to get in touch with Martin. Now both my boys are taught by Martin as he makes the lessons fun and engaging. My eldest son has inattentive ADHD and he states that Martin is the best keyboard teacher he has ever had and both boys look forward to their next lesson.

Martin has taught my son to play the drums for many years. A big part of Martins success with his students is the fantastic relationship he builds with them. He really knows how to interact with them to get the best out of the individual.He’s great at adapting the sessions each week to keep it fun and engaging whilst teaching them all the fundamentals.My son absolutely loves his lessons with Martin (and he never sticks with anything!)Can’t thank you enough! ⭐️

Martin teaches my 10 year old daughter guitar. We have been going to him for the past few years. Every lesson is never the same and she absolutely loves it and can’t wait for the next one. Guitar isnt one of the easiest instruments to learn to play but she has always kept her interest. Martin makes learning fun and entertaining and has increased my daughters confidence in lessons and this has improved in every day life too. Thank you Martin

My 9 yr old son has been having drum lessons with Martin for almost two years and is working towards Grade 2. Martin is a very patient teacher, taking time to explain the process to a very energetic and often easily distracted boy. Highly recommended music teacher.

Martin is the most amazing teacher, my son started learning drums with Martin when he was 8, in the last 2 years not only has he progresses massively, he has added guitar lessons in too and is excelling at that. Martin has always found ways to engage with my son, which leaves him looking forward to his lessons every week. Not only does he incorporate any music my son wants to try, but he also manages to make it work with progressing through the gradings. I feel so lucky to have found such a fantastic teacher. 5*
