Southsea Rocks Hotel

Fantastic. We had an on suite bathroom. Decor was lovely. Memory foam mattress. Room was spotlessly clean.Staff are lovely. Emily was so very helpful.The place is lovely and I have stayed in higher starred places that are not as nice.2 min walk across the road to rock Gardens and sea.The garden patio area is lovely.We will be returning.

Great location only a short walk to sea front. Rooms very basic with communal toilet/showers. Service was good.

Great holiday! I really enjoyed it. Everything was perfect from the man welcoming us in the reception until the room was tidy and clean. The beds are really comfortable and I woke up with a good mood. Staff was helpful and showed us around the area. We will definitely be booking here again and we really enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to coming back again !!!

If I could rate this hotel" 0 stars I would! We stayed here in June & firstly were unable to enter the building without calling a mobile number to be let in. We were then shocked to see a lady in the "dining room" in her dressing gown heating up a babies bottle. We were advised that the "dining room" had a fridge & freezer which we were welcome to use. We found all of this strange but proceeded to pay the remaining balance for the room booking and were sent to the basement to our room (room 1). The room was very tired and had a damp musty smell & we could hear crying babies which didn't bode well for a good nights sleep. We therefore decided to book ourselves in to The Premier Inn and request a refund from Southsea Rocks. We were told by the front desk that this was unlikely as similar requests had ben refused in the past. He gave me the number to call the "manager" who then said I would need to email my complaint to the owner which I did on 25th June. Surprise Surprise

Hotel is in a brilliant location, close to the seafront and shops. Staff are friendly and helpful. Cleanliness is top notch and the rooms have all you need, tv and a nice comfy bed. Would recommend to anyone. Perfect place to stay.

We had an amazing stay at Southsea Rocks Hotel. The staff were extremely friendly. The whole place looked brand new and was very clean. We booked an en-suite room but had a look at the shared bathrooms and they were also surprisingly clean. Had a great nights sleep. We will definately be back to stay again soon!

Had a wonderful stay recently on a long weekend break. The room was exceptionally clean and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, great location with lots of things to do. Will definitely visit again. Thanks again for your hospitality.

Relaxing, clean, and great service! My daughter and I stayed at the Southsea Rocks Hotel in October 2021. The hotel is a 1 minute walk to the beach and a 3 minute walk to the pier, bars and restaurants which saved us money on cab fairs! The newly decorated rooms are a comfortable size and were very clean, including the communal bathrooms. They provide a relaxing lounge area with a television for everyone to use, which was also nice as we could socialise with other guests and it really made us feel at home. The kitchen area included a vending machine, fridge, microwave, and tea and coffee-making facilities. There is a beautiful rear garden which is available for everyone to use (which is perfect for the summer season), and there are parking spaces provided at the front on a first come first served basis, but there is plenty of parking around the property as well. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we cannot wait to return.- Angela and Deanna Hall

Had a fantastic stay here! The building was modern and clean. The staff were so helpful and friendly. I booked an ensuite room but had a sneaky peak at some of the shared bathrooms and they were immaculate, which made me wish I had saved some money and booked one of those rooms. Came down to visit my Mum was recommended by my sister who also stayed here recently and absolutely loved it! Southsea you Rock! :)

First off, this is a Hostel and not a Hotel, there is no restaurant or breakfast. So not even a B&B, instead there is a kitchen occupied with mums cooking for the children.First impression was it was closed for business as couldn't get in and no one there to greet us.After finally getting in, we were given a musky, damp smelling room in the lower floor ( old fashion gate key to lock door, no scan card. I believe the photos on the website are old from when the hostel was first decorated. As the worn out tatty furniture did loosely resemble that in the photos. In the bathroom, the tile was coming away in shower and corner.I get the impression this Hostel is for desperate single mothers and refugees long term waiting to be housed by council.Do not expect any help or refund, but do expect disappointment.In short, Don't book a room until you see the room you'll stay in and hear screaming children banging up and down the corridors. I was so looking forward to staying here based on the beautiful looking photos on the website, But what a huge let down.I highly recommend Premier Inn at about the same price.Thank youStephen Fletcher.
