The food was delicious, hot and very good portions would definitely return here and recommend to others, the tables and chairs could do with a bit of updating but this doesn't take away from the food and service

For what i needed, it was in the perfect location. When i arrived, it was shut. No notices of advice. No telephone numbers were answered. No paperwork. No directions of where to go. No email advice before arrival. In the end i found a door round the back and teied it and it opened into a stair case with what seemed to be 3 rooms. 2 had keys in the door. So, I chose my room. I go there about 10.30 in the evening and had to leave again by 05.30 in the morning and i didn't see a single person or have any text or email in the time i was there.However, the room was clean and tidy, if a little tired looking and the showaer was good. I would stay again for work or a walking holiday in that are but may be not for a family holiday.

Struggling to find anything on a Tuesday we came across this pub serving food. It wasn't very busy with ample parking. Looked at the menu on the Facebook page and the prices looked ok, transpires the actual menu is a little more expensive, so keep that in mind if your looking at Facebook. The special was nice, huge portions, the Cumberland sausage was nice, but I have had nicer but nothing wrong with it. Service was lovely, glass of wine was very expensive at nearly £7 for a small glass, would go again if in that area.

Slightly disappointing. Ordered a starter, main and dessert with 3 pints and the bill came over £50 (for 1 person!!). Starter and main were loaded with salad. Drinks took a long time to arrive and we were charged twice for 1 of the desserts which we found out later (although we should have checked with each other who paid for what, the restaurant should have told us we paid twice). Also the steak pie was very fatty and we didn’t eat it. Not impressed.

Friendly staff, good range of food and drink. Ample parkingIt's time for a quick update to my review......Booked a table for a Saturday evening for a meal with friends. Was very busy!Had fillet steak, I must say this was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Cooked to perfection (med/rare).I must say that the food represents great value for money. There is a wide choice on the new menu.My advice is to get there early as it can get VERY busy.Still - Very highly recommend for a good feed!
