Big thanks to Gary who was able to diagnose my ECU fault. The car was misfiring and after several attempts to fix it i decided to take a chance and give the ECU to GEL Automotive. Gary found the issue immediately, repaired it and gave me advice on what to change on the car to ensure this doesn't happen again. Brilliant communication, brilliant service and a fantastic job. Highly recommend his service to anyone.

Top class service. I messaged Gary about an issue I had today. We have never spoke before but he offered to help me! He came remotely whilst being extra patient as my laptop decided it would mess around on us, but none the less he got the job sorted (in minutes). I would highly recommend these guys. As a customer you always want to leave your car with a technician/mechanic that you can confidently rely on and someone that isn’t going to ‘waste’ your money guessing faulty components. Well 3 weeks ago i called the guy who running the place for an electrical problem very friendly and willing to help, he booked me an appointment, so, i went there they checked everything located the problem advised me for the part that would need the cost all, we agreed to buy the part form the ebay and when the part would arrive i would go there for fit, meanwhile asked me to pay £65 for investigation only ans i did. After a week the guy disappeared i was texting him for 2 weeks and he either didn't reply or said the part hasn't been arrived yet, i gave up he just took my £65 no invoice or receipt and disappeared, also they didn't put all the parts back after their investigation and the they didn't put them as they were. Very unprofessional i am sad saying that as it looked like a very good garage with friendly people.

Do not trust this outfit, they also use the name DRIVE RICHES LIMITED at the same address

Gary came to my house this evening to code a new key fob to my ford focus after my daughter decided to try and eat my other one he was very professional and done the job in hand very quickly and efficiently I can now lock my car which is excellent.It's a job very well done thank you again.

Excellent service, spoke with them re my BMW M140i TCU issue, required recoding and mapping back to my chassis. Fixed numerous electrical issues and even spent extra time on the weekend to help diagnose an issue that they didn't need to fix. First rate service and communication. Would 100% recommend.

I looked up this company to try and fix mymercedes c250d. they explained if it was thesteering wheel lock that was a fault they couldprovide a emulator that would fix this issue. I hadthe key and lock tested as they recommended.They first told me an emulator was £100. when Itold them I needed it they then told me it was £220as this included coding. Which wasn't mention tostart with. I then paid someone £50 to take my keyand switch to them and have the emulator done. They then said after I paid it might not work, which they never mentioned until I paid.After being £270 in my mechanic fitted theemulator and nothing worked. They then told me itwas my fault I didn't diagnose the fault correctly Ori need to get the car recovered to them at £70 anhour, it could be my wiring etc. I paid another £260for someone from Thetford to come out mobile,who tested their emulator to find it wasn'tprogrammed. They corrected this fault within 20mins, they then found that gel had deleted my vinoff the ignition switch and not added it back, sothey put that right. my car was fixed and runningwithin an hour. After all the stuff I was told by gelabout it being my issue diagnosing it and mywiring. I contacted gel to ask for a partial refund fornot coding it correctly to be ignored. Think twicebefore using them if they treat people like this...

Just wanted to write a quick review for Matt!Big thanks to him for helping me get cruise control working in my 07 Plate ford focus. I'd been wanting to get it retrofitted for well over a year but never had the confidence to mess with the computer systems with the car.Spoke to matt over the phone and on text and he told me what I needed to order and fit then I popped down to him in ipswich to get it all activated!Drove all the way home happy with my now working cruise control.Big thanks again Matt. We used Matt at GEL last week. His diagnostic service was good, albeit expensive. However, the car was with him for a week and at the day before the car was dropped off, the wheels had been repaired by a smart repairer. When we collected the car, the NSF wheel had touched a curb and we pointed this out straight away. Matt explained the car had not been moved from the unit and it was not him, when we checked the mileage on the car from the drop off point he then changed his story and said he had been around the estate. The car had actually done 9 miles more than the point of dropping it off, which seems excessive if it only 'went around the estate to check the navigation was working'. Matt was not prepared to admit any fault for the damage to the wheel and left us to repair the wheel again, the experience has left a very sour taste, we would not use GEL again and would strongly advise anyone from leaving their car with them.
