Premier Inn Barnsley Central M1 J37

My colleague and I were travelling for work and we arrived after 11pm so obviously the bar was closed. Jess, on reception, who checked us in couldn't do enough for us and was so kind and helpful. She got us iced water from the bar and gave us packets of biscuits. She really went the extra mile. Rooms were spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and waiting staff helpful. All in all a really pleasant stay with excellent customer service better than most 5* hotels. Recommended.

Rooms were comfortable and it was right next door to where my daughter and grandson live. I made use of the extra pillows as I had broken my shoulder the day before we arrived.

The receptionist absolutely made this trip for us. Im unsure of his name but he lives across the square. We travelled from Kent with my parents to visit family. He was the loviest guy and engaged with us every time we saw him. An absolute credit to Premier Inn. Get that boy a glass of vino! We also met a few of the housekeeping team who were all very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble so thank you! Rooms 209 and 214 20th to 23rd Oct. We were facing the square and the room was so quiet until work started on the opposite building at 9ish, but did not affect our stay at all. Breakfast wasn't great so we ate at a cafe round the corner after the first day. Overall a great experience and will return.

Check in friendly staff & easy. Multi Storey car park adjacent. Good selection for breakfast, cereals, cooked brekkie, toast tea & coffee.

We stayed as a group of 7 in three rooms for a family funeral . Our request for various needs (cot,twin rooms) was met without any problems. Staff very sympathetic when aware why we were there. We as a couple have stayed often and can’t praise the staff high enough.

If you like to sleep with your window open this hotel isn't the place for you. It's currently 3 am . My room is boiling and stuffy and you can't open the window , not even half inch . It's like being in a prison cell except I had to pay for it .

One of the best Premier inns goingStayed here twice over a year or so and staff, rooms, service always on point.Price is good and location is central.Highly recommended

Parking underneath the hotel,rooms great except no fresh air through windows being locked,food there very nice, plenty to choose from, including drinks.

If your used to sleeping with a window open this isn't the place to get a good night's sleep .Our rooms where hot and sticky .It's currently 3.30 am . I've not had a wink of sleep . I drove for 6 hours to get here . My son has a mma event he's competing in in the morning then at about 7pm I'll have to drive another 6 hours home with a car full of people . I'm not the fussy type , I stayed in some right dives and never complained but the very least I expect is a window I can open if I want fresh air or to regulate the room temp . Not here in Barnsley premier inn it's more like staying the night at a HMP .Plus you have to pay for over night parking once you get here. Wish I'd never booked here and will never return .

Been staying at this premier inn for the last 8 years. Never had a complaint. Staff go above and beyond. And my kids always comment on how kind and friendly everyone is.We just got back from a 3 night stay. And 'James' on reception was fabulous!
