A & P REMOVALS AND STORAGE

Avoid!!! My mother in law recently moved house and used this company. They complained that she had packed the boxes wrong, then again complained that it was a long walk to her new flat. And attempted to leave the setee outside as they didn't 'think' it would fit through the door. They then took off the arms of the settee and charged an extra £100 to do so. Didn't put the arms back on secure, didn't put the bed together like they said. Left fittings in the old flat that were needed. Dropped boxes damaging contents and when my wife phoned to complain, she was told to f@#k off!! Disgusting. Just glad I wasn't there or I'd be locked up by now. Scum bags!

Absolutely disgraceful company, please avoid at all costs. We hired them to move our furniture from the UK to Ireland in June, it's now November and we still have not got all our stuff. On the day the van was too small so we had to leave some items in my garage which we were told would be delivered at no extra cost on the next wagon to Ireland. Then last month (after me being constantly 'fobbed off' on the phone I receive a bill for storage costs for my remaining items. A&P are trying to claim that I agreed to have the remainder of my furniture collected from my secure garage in the UK and taken to their depot and that I would pay for storage? I said why would I ever agree to that? No response. So basically they have stolen the remaining items from my garage and holding them to ransom. A complete farce. I am not even going to get into the attitude of the driver and how late they were on moving day. I've never written a bad review in my life, but please read this before contacting them because I do not want anyone else to have to go through this.

The movers were nearly 2 hours late. Then after nearly an hour of packing they told us they were putting the price up from the original quote because we had more stuff than they had thought. I was annoyed because I would have gone with our local company if I'd have known as I went with A&P because they were cheaper but they weren't in the end! They were friendly enough at this stage and were patient when it took us a while to get the keys but then when I had nipped out to take my daughter to a friends house they disappeared for an hour and a half to finish someone else's job. Which meant that they didn't finish ours until late in the evening and I had to go and put my daughter to bed at someone else's house. We had to rebuild a couple of bits of the items of our furniture which they built and my husband ended up helping with quite a bit of the furniture because otherwise they would've been there even later.They said we had lots of bits and that I hadn't put the number of boxes on the inventory. I don't know many people who can accurately say how many boxes your house will pack into and I hoped that as the experts they could work out how many it would be given all the information I provided. I didn't argue with the price going up as the stress of moving day was enough, however when I filled the evaluation sheet in the end, one guy didn't want to hear at all and walked off and the other argued as to why it was okay that they were late. We had included on our sheet that they had been helpful and courteous but it wouldn't be right for me to write they had been on time as the time keeping was poor.

I was very happy with my removal and very thankful that I chose this company for my move which turned into a VERY STRESSFUL move. My removal did not go smoothly due to issues with obtaining the keys to my new property, which resulted in it being a very late move. However the removal men were great lads and really understanding to the situation. They remained cheerful and nothing was to much trouble even though it turned into a very long day.

Thank you so much for making it a smooth process from start to finish. The service delivered was definitely top class for a price that is the lowest we have seen. The lads on the day were great, nothing was to much trouble. The office staff kept me informed at all times and were on hand to answer any questions i had. They did an amazing job and when my house is finally ready to move into i'll definitely be giving them a call again. Thanks again

Used this company on the 29th May 2019. They damaged so many of our items of furniture. Turned up with 2 smaller trucks, as the large one had 'problems.'.This on the morning of our move from Lancaster to Hull. They charged us £150 extra to cover the petrol costs of a 3rd truck they needed to transport our goods. This loaded truck spent the night in their depot, only joining us the following day. So we had no fridge or freezer in our new house for over 8 hours. We photographed all our damaged goods , even pointed this out to Lee. This was emailed to management. So far to date, they have not even acknowledged us.

The service was 5 star, the lads were great and didn’t stop working. Danielle in the office was super she kept in contact leading up to my removal with tips and advice. I would definitely recommend without a doubt.

This is the second time I’ve used A and P Removals, the lads worked so hard we were really worried about getting the keys to our new property but they were so patient and considerate.If you have a problem they can solve it!I can’t thank them enough and will definitely use again keep supplying coffee and they’ll work like trojans!Cheers lads

A brilliant experience, which was surprisingly stress free. The team was prompt and professional which made the move a breeze. We used the packing and moving service and they were great, there wasn't a single breakage. We were extremely impressed at how quickly they managed to get us all packed up and unloaded at our new home. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend A and P Removals.

We used A and P Removals in September for our house move from Sale to Southport. To say we were pleased with their service would be an understatement. Our load wasn't straightforward and we could have packed things better but the lads didn't complain - they got on with it quickly and efficiently. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the stress that we were initially suffering ebbed away once these lads got stuck in.
