I think the artifacts and preserved things were really impacting. It was great finding the place in the alley. The entry costs 7.50 which I did not find that much worth as compared to the small exhibition room. However, they are promising to expand next year, do prolly a better tour next time. Rest history and folklores are inclusive there. You can take lots of pictures and go for tarot reading for 25 pounds.

I thought I'd leave a comprehensive review about this museum given the many bad reviews that have been posted on here. This is a great wee place for those interested in witchcraft and it's history. It's not a museum for harry potter fans looking for a gimmick. Sure, the museum has room for improvement but thank goodness it does or it wouldn't be worth doing. This is a new venture and to be expected things aren't as slick as the British museum. The owners are clearly doing this out of a lifes passion and it's nothing short of a miracle they've pulled this off with such a great space at the royal mile! It's literally a miracle local people manage to have a business in an increasingly expensive city with impossible rents. Keep up the good work! I'm sure the museum will continue to grow. You have great items there already!

This museum is small but so informative and well structured. Also, it makes the most of one of the spookiest venues in the Royal Mile and there's always something different going on. Worth checking their website for the events offered!

I wish I could recommend this place, but I can't.Firstly, it is not really a museum, but rather a small alley full of artifacts, only a few of them worth being considered interesting. I went though it hoping for a door leading somewhere else but nope. Do not expect a museum. It is absolutelly not.Secondly, the price does not reflect what you get. I loved the theme and the atmosphere of the place but I wouldn't pay 6,5 pounds for it.I would recommend to market the place differently as it sets understandable, unrealistic expectations. Also, I would recommend to lower the price.

Kind of a tourist trap (at least if you only go for the museum"

A wonderful, unique space tucked away from the hustle and bustle but central enough to easily access. Brilliant museum full of lifetimes of information, lovingly displayed. Events here are cozy and welcoming, and very inclusive. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly and it's lovely to chat with like minded folx and be able to source locally, ethically produced magical products and gifts. Highly recommend popping in.

Excellent exhibition with lots of items and a lot of information about those (not many museums tend to actually do that). The staff is quite friendly and I definitely recommend this to any person that is interested in the occult, history, or you know, magic. :)

Great experience. The museum is small but has so much information for those who likes read and details, I love it! As well the front desk Viking that receives you is fun and cherish and if you are up to, he will give you a nice conversation. Last but not least they has amazing tarot readers that help you put some light into your inner chaos. So much recommended,Thanks for such a nice moments.

An absolutely fantastic museum to visit. It may seem compact but I spent an incredibly enjoyable and informative hour browsing the carefully curated (authentic & creepy) exhibits ! It truly is an eye-opening experience into the darker world of witchcraft and divination. Worth every penny of the admission fee. Now I’ve been a Tarot reader for about 40 years but I’m certainly going to return to have my cards read by the extremely friendly and welcoming staff !
