Innkeeper's Collection Hathersage, Peak District

Room was lovely and clean, very spacious and comfortable. As we were there when it was wet and muddy and we had been swimming my only improvement to the room would maybe be some extra hanging hooks and a tray for wet muddy shoes

We ordered scallops as a starter they didn't have any so chose something else I was still eating my starter when the mains came, food was nice and the area we were sat in was lovely shame the evening was spoilt, felt rushed even though it wasn't busy its not as if its the cheapest of places. We did not stay here it was an evening out.

We stayed for 2 nights, meeting up with a large group of friends for the Carols in the Cave concert on Saturday night in Castleton, plus some exploring during the day.We loved the pub's decor and obvious age, plus it's location. It was within an easy drive of all the places we were going (Matlock, Bakewell and Castleton), had a large car park and was very easy on the eye.The dinner menu had plenty of choice and the food we had was exceptional - I had the chicken thighs on a skewer with Korean BBQ sauce, which was delicious. Likewise, the breakfast menu had some great choices and the food was, again, exceptional. The one slight criticism would be that on the Sunday morning, our breakfast orders took a long time to arrive and, when they did, were slightly wrong. It wasn't a big drama and the staff corrected the issue with the minimum of fuss.The room was lovely and spacious, very warm with great lighting options. The bed was comfortable, as was the sofa, and the en suite bathroom was fine. The only slight criticism here was that the alcove the bed was put into, between the en suite wall and the outside wall, wasn't quite big enough in my opinion. As I'm 6'4

Lovely Stay, check in was a bit rushed, not much information passed on but staff were friendly and the food was delicious! The rooms being outside is not ideal in bad weather but once in, the rooms are cosy and comfortable. In a very rural spot but great for the relaxing stay we were looking for.

Rooms are incredibly well decorated and modern, with clean bathrooms. However, the bed was very firm to the point of been uncomfortable. The light is also low due to the low ceiling and I did knock my head on it a couple of times. The food in the pub/restaurant is amazing and prefer to eat there than going out to other venues. I would definitely recommend and return.

First visit and went for Sunday lunch. Very popular pub in a fantastic location in the peak District.Had roast beef. Food was fine, beef was good. Nothing spectacular but find it overly priced for what it was, and I did expect better

The staff were friendly, welcoming, attentive and polite - Breakfast was delicious and far better than we anticipated (expected buffet style) so we were pleasantly suprised that it was a freshly cooked meal of our choosing cooked to a high standard (good quality/locally sourced food)The decor of the pub and rooms are modern not outdated.We loved the remote location and we would visit/stay again and reccommend to friends and family.Nothing negative to add - does the pub do entertainment or a quiz?

Great place to stop and explore the peak district and chatsworth house is only 20 mins away .Good food and beers with friendly and helpful staff.
