Host The Mews

I stayed at this accommodation this summer. I loved the residence, close to the city center, well connected, clean and very comfortable. The staff made us feel at home, especially the property manager, always attentive to our needs.

Great experience. The residence is very well located, very nice and clean. But the best thing was the personal treatment, especially from the property manager Maria, who was always attentive to our needs. A ten. Highly recommended

I lived at The Mews during my Masters degree at Oxford and it has been delightful from start to finish. Samira and Jack were very welcoming. They always greet you with a smile on their face and really make the place feel like home, which is really comforting after stressful days at uni. They are always there to talk and support you if you need it.The rooms are fitted with comfortable beds and really good heating systems. I would highly recommend the Mews to any student in Oxford!

One of my absolutely worst experiences with hotels in the UK. They don't have a reception at the site, so any change you might want to ask for has to be done via paid call to a call center. They have multiple people there, so you might end up having to explain your problem again and again - and most importantly they use tactics to delay, they don't really care and in the end they don't really help you. After a lot of delays they will send a person on the site to help you, but it's according to their time table and without regards to your own restrictions. Finally, rooms are noisy and not as pretty as on the photos, the shower in my bathroom was flooding. I wouldn't recommend this place at all! Very happy to peace out from there now!Booked through Booking, but even if this is just a Summer regime, it doesn't speak well for the hotel itself! Stay away if you can...

One of the worst student accommodations I have stayed in so far. I was staying in a studio on the ground floor and for the moment I arrived there was issues with the flat. For example I dealt with a huge amount of ants for the whole year. My extractor fan and heating never worked. They said they was gonna sort it but it would stop working within 24 hours. Till this day i am still waiting for my deposit back as I should have never dealt with these things in the first place especially for nothing to be resolved.

Nice friendly student accommodation with a very friendly and competent team of staffs that are always ready and willing to help! Certainly one of the best student accommodation in Oxford by far!

The Mews is the best place to stay. Safe and clean. No traffic noise. It truly felt like home. Samira, Jack and other employees are very nice and helpful. The apartments are good furnitured, there is always hot water. Heating system is wonderful. There is a park nearby with a good football pitch. Several restaurants, cafes, markets. I liked it!

I've been staying at The Mews since October 2021, and it has been the basestone to my wonderful experience in Oxford.I give great thanks to Samira, Jack and Peter, as well as the Security team for making my stay comfortable, fun and safe.Big thanks to Samira who made me feel at home by regularly communicating with me in Arabic throughout my stay. She also gave me the honor of being the Student Ambassador of The Mews and allowing me to assist her in student fairs, activities and events. Moreover, Samira's approach to dealing with all situations was very rational and objective which made build trust quite fast towards the reception team. Unlike many others in her position, she is never condescending and is always ready to listen to anything you have to say. All problems that I had during my stay, although few and minor, were dealt with on the spot and in a professional matter.I had done all my booking on the phone from my home country Lebanon, and am thankful I had Jack helping me on the other line. He facilitated my booking and attended to my needs and preferences before I even arrived to the UK. He is so professional and well trained that you'd think he's been doing the job his whole life.I had the privilege to work with Jack directly as a trainee warden for emergency situations, going over health and safety procedures regularly and being efficient in doing so. He also helped me improve my communication style as an international student. Jack took the time to guide me through the transportation system in the area, facilitating my involvement in activities and tourism. As an employee, i thrive to be as professional, dedicated, punctual and motivated as Jack is.Lastly, and it's a shame that nobody mentions Peter in their reviews, but in my opinion he's a pillar in the continuing prosperity of this accommodation. He is the most skilled technician and maintenance man you could have on site. There's not one problem he can't fix. It's fascinating to always seeing him smiling and happy as you'd expect maintaining 120 rooms to be hectic, but Peter does it so easily it's more like a hobby for him.I wish i could give The Mews a 6-star rating. This place will forever be my home in the UK.
