Cairn o' Mount is the name of a prehistoric round cairn in Aberdeenshire. It is also the name of the 1,480ft or 455m hill the cairn stands on, .Fantastic views at this stunning parking view point.

On a clear day the drive over the Old Military Road offers stunning views & it's worth stopping at either the view point car park close to the Cairn O'Mount or in the lay-by at the Cairn to properly take these in.

Cairn o mount is a must stop on a clear day. You can see all the way to the ocean. The short walk up to the cairn is worth it.

Beautiful views even when it was a bit over cast. If you get a bit car sick I would recommend taking some medication, it saved me!!

It's the best road to drive in Scotland if your a driver's driver it's a trill of a lifetime driving this road, the scenery is breathtaking, showing the best of Scotland's beauty, and mountains and glen's!
