The Audio Room

I thought I had good (but admittedly aged) HiFi equipment until I walked into The Audio Room and met Darren and Spencer. A change to my amplification and record deck etc (Naim Unitilite, Rega RP6 and Qnap Nasdrive) was a revelation. Their service and knowledge is the best I have found and I did try a number of outlets when I wanted to renew my equipment. Many thanks to the lads and what a great atmosphere in their 'Audio Room' and what a fantastic choice of equipment. Go see! (and hear!)Just wanted to update my old review, have been back into the Audio room a couple of times since my first review to upgrade the equipment again and wish to compliment the guys there again, yes, you can be spending a lot of money, but I always feel that their advice is honest and factual, my upgraded equipment is first class and sounds just superb. Thanks again guys, now, what's next??

A pleasurable experience from start to finish. I was nervous at first buying ex-demo speakers having not heard them. A good discussion, and i was advised the speakers are current spec and in perfect condition. A call to confirm the speakers had been shipped. They arrived and irritatingly I had to wait till the end of my work day to set them up .. Inspected and true to the word - immaculate condition, as advised work perfectly with the rest of my system. The city of Hull is very fortunate to have such a great hi fi resource in the Audio Room. Darren, Spencer, and Jack couldn’t be more helpful, and friendly and their knowledge about audio goes back years and is immense. They have provided me with invaluable assistance over the years, in a journey of improvement and upgrades. Darren always goes the extra mile to find the product that best suits my requirements, and pocket, and has always provided me with very reasonable trade-in deals.If quality audio set ups are your desire, or help with a starter system, then these guys are the only people you will ever need. Highly Recommended!

Just like to thank Darren, Spen & Jack for their excellent advise regarding upgrading our speakers, Spen has been to install the speakers we purchased from them. Excellent service from Darren over at the Audio Room. Great product knowledge and also its very useful that you can do home demos it means you aren't buying blind. New to Hifi and have made some mistakes but with Darren's help I'm rectifying this with equipment that suits my listening environment rather than buying from reviews. They have all the top names and also they have something for every budget be it just starting out or if you are looking for simply the best available.

The level of customer service by The Audio Room is outstanding. They understood that my old HiFi was starting to flag a bit and travelled the almost 150 mile round trip from their Showroom to my house in order to give it a good spruce up and it now sounding better than ever. We were recommended the Audio Room in Hull by our Glasgow hi fi provider, and we could not have chosen a better team to deal with-they were all absolutely excellent from Darren in the store who advised us on the best products for our circumstances, to the installation team who were so thorough, courteous and knowledgeable.To say we are absolutely delighted with the end result is an understatement. Darren was extremely helpful throughout my two visits to the shop. Nothing was to much trouble hooking up various combinations of hifi kit. I would strongly recommend The Audio Room for help and advice and purchase of your hifi components. Thank you for help.

Very friendly and knowledgable Staff. Sound advice and excellent customer service and follow up. Great range of products displayed well, set up for listening on shop floor and in dedicated suites.
